"Beat The Clock" More damn photos

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

Hey thanks fellas. I really wish you all could see how beautiful Appalachia is this time of the year. I figured the video would give a pretty good perspective of the roads here. The long stretch going over the bridge is not very common however. It is mostly turns and hills.
Glad you guys liked it. I had hoped you all wouldn't mind me getting a little personal at the end. My dad loved it.
Would be awesome to have a bunch of you guys out for a week of riding. I can accommodate quite a few right here. Free lodging and food. And I have a bunch of musican friends that could supply endless entertainment. Bikes, food, drink and music, what else is there? All you guys have to do is say the word.

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

Troy if you are serious about having us out there man... I would be down for a meet up... be the first DDT Meet and greet! I could toss the bikes on a trailer and drive out... then we could do a weekend of riding! i would def be down for that!

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

Should plan for mid-summer and go for it, I'd be down for certain!
Hell, you could easily turn it into an event, invite a few vendors, set up a poker run and a stage for the music and you're in!

Dude..........

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

Hey brother I'm very serious! A get together would be awesome! If we wanted we could do a huge one or a small one. There is a 4 day bike event in July called MountainFest. Mostly HD but they seemed receptive to about anything. I had an awesome time the last time I went. Good food and entertainment. An invasion of cafes would be awesome! However, any other time would be good to. There are so many things to do here, or we could just ride all the time. I could help with logistics and people could go out on their or some days we all could ride together. Hell I don't care if you just crash here and come back for showers and such. I'm real easy, but Id love to show some Wv hospitality down on the farm style. ;D We have plenty of room. We hosted my sons Track Banquet here. Lost count at 70 and we estimated 125. We had a pot luck chop and bake what ya got. It was awesome. After dinner everyone sat in the living room watched videos. So there really is a lot of room here. I have limited beds but there is plenty of floor space. And for those who would want to pitch a tent i could even supply a couple of those or bring your own. I'll have the (live) music cranked and the bbq going for all that want to join in! Hell yeah we need to put something together.
To map it I'm located in Kingwood, Wv 26537
(open invite however, no serial killers allowed only DTT members in good standing, hahaha)

Here are drive times: (These are some of the ones I've done. I've done more but this is what I can remember off the top of my head)
Cleveland: 4
Detroit: 6
Toronto: 7
Buffalo: 5.5
DC: 3.5-4
Baltimore: 3.5-4
Indy: 6
Philly: 4
Boston: 10

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

Never considered a total event. That would be awesome! but would def need help with some of the arrangements. I think we'd have to take it outside, LOl.

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

1 day, 19 hours from me to you....I'll start in March! hehe......

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

Heh...I'm on Portland Oregon...if you think for a minute I'd miss it you're friggin' nuts!
If there's an event next summer and I can plan for it...I'll ride out!

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

Mapquest says 19 hrs, 28 mins. 1130.66 miles about 1810 KM. I am usually able to beat their times but it looks like it would be 2 solid days for me, but I will definately try, I just inherited a 79 GL1000 that might make the trip a little more do-able :) on my 450 I would have to stop every 100 miles for fuel, that would be 11 gas stops!

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

that would be 10 hrs for me as well... not riding the cafe to that one! ha ha ha but i want to bring it... so maybe i will talk to Boomshakalacka and see if he wants to run out there as well... my trailer will hold about 4-5 cafes with ease! if i can get a few of us local guys around here split'n gas we can trailer them down and have a great weekend! I got all the wheel chucks and good stuff (we take about 15 bikes down to FL every year so i have all that crap!)

i know the Wife would want to join us... she would not miss Wv riding! So with her cafe and mine i still got room for 2 more on there!

Ill ask boom what he thinks... maybe even talk to Joey Cocks from 1/2 fast to see if he would want to join...
10 hrs is not a bad drive at all with a few people and just cruising! I also have to say... that would be AWESOME rolling up deep with a bunch of cafe to a bike event! I have shown up to a ton of ralleys rocking a bunch of custom harleys and chops... but the attention and SOUND that a bunch of cafes would make would be like nothing else!

this is the same helmet but this one is done in matte Black and pin stripes. I'm pretty happy with mine and it was pretty cheap. It does seem to be pretty good quality too, however, I figure a helmet is made to keep everything in to limit the mess someone has to clean afterwards. LOL.

Hey boom, Glad you like the video. We do have lots of twisties here. The only problem is many of the roads are not maintained very well. We have tons of potholes ::)

Thanks for the link Troy.
Hey, about this meet in July. (stilla while so that's good) where is it at? again? I'm north of Raleigh NC. and would like to take some time off to do that.

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

I'm stoked! This would be soooo awesome. Open invitation to all DTT Brothern and friends and wives and anyone else, hahha.

Stay at my place inside or camp in one of my fields. Lodging is close by and fairly cheap too if you wnat that instead. Of course I would rather everyone stay here but its cool to do what ever you want. You guys are going to love riding here. Hey xulf13 and Boom the roads I was talking about is mostly back roads. The road to my house needs work (its 2 miles long) but very managable. a few other back roads are the same, but for the most roads its open the throttle and go!

Ha! I've see that jail...

Has anyone put serious thought into planned DTT regional events? This brings a big question to mind. In the Land Rover world which I frequented in a previous life people would drive from all over several times a year to meet in strategic places for actual planned events. Has/Is anyone thinking about doing that in the DTT circle?

I for one would welcome and plan the first Southeast event...just need to workout the details and find out how many people are interested. We don't have the hills but we've got some amazing country roads and there ain't nothing like parking your bike on the beach. ;)

I've found that as long as you get there by 2AM Saturday morning leaving Friday evening from where ever your at you can get a good time in and head home on Sunday for a late night arrival in time for work on Monday. It's not all that bad..

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

now that sounds awesome as well! i know i would not have to convice the wife to hit the beach on her scoot! ha ha ha
