Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

Well, I've been talking about making that trip anyway, so if you guys make it a definite thing, I'm totally there. Google Maps says 12 hours from Birmingham Alabama. If anyone else is interested in carpooling, then I have a trailer that can fit 4 bikes easily, and we'll split the gas. I'm in!

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

Hey jrk that is some trailer. That thing has to looks so cool comming down the highway loaded like that! I'm getting really stoked about having you guys in. I promise to make it worth you while. We will have an awesome time! Hey Kiley so glad you might be in. Hopefully a few more of the southern guys will be up for having a great time too! ;D

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

That would be awesome if you guys showed up at mountainfest (local wv guy here as well) , mountainfest is a definitely a fun event . and If anyone would want to get tattooed I can accomodate that (dont worry I work in a shop )

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

Hmm. We could all get spade tattoos to memorialize the event of the DTT clan's first official get-together. I'm so down with that! 8)

Re: "Beat The Clock" 10.13 update new video

"Beat The Clock" Under the microscope

Ok guys, I know i risk boring the hell out of everyone, but I had a request for some close up shots. I hope to make at least one mag in the near future so I headed out to my photographer today. He was busy but he let me use the studio. I put her under the microscope. I hope I did ok.

Warning: there are a hell of a bunch of photos. If you bore easy turn back now!

I see what you did there with that butt picture...

How do you keep your bike immaculate? Mine is dirty and it has scratched already and I haven't even ridden it around town! The pictures are great!

I love each of those pictures. Any of them would make sweet avatars or banners. Have you taken any shot with color adjustments like sepia or color selecting the brown and making everything else black and white?

Nice work and pic's. I have a Duolamp sittin here for mine, with a blue dot...wasnt too sure about it, but now that I seen how you did yours I'm feelin more confident about useing it.

Hey thanks fellas. Much appreciated. Figure this will be the last hurrah for awhile. I'm really happy with how the close up shots turned out. Its funny about the little amber reflection in some of the photos. I didn't notice it while taking the pictures. But there were a couple of recessed spot lights in the studio that I shouldn't have left on. They are defently the wrong temperature. Anyway it was a lot of fun.

Goodfornothing I spent about an hour cleaning the bike before I shot the photos. To be honest I've been riding the crap out of her. If its not raining and I have somewhere to go I'm on the bike. In fact as I learn how the bike handles I've been pushing her pretty hard lately. I'm real happy with how the bike handles. However, I can tell that traction suffers a little from the narrower rims but I don't see it as a problem. It is way better than trying to ride 34 y/o hard, dry rotted factory tires. ;)

I do have a catrostopic failure to report however. Hahaha, nothing major really but I will be redoing the paint on the fender. It's been taking a beating. First, during the photo session with the model the photographer had her stick those pointed heels between the strut and the fender and it scraped of a spot of paint. It's about the size of a pencil eraser. I was going to leave it. But then after I raised the fender to fit the taller tire, at some point the fender hit the bar under the seat and took off even more paint. I think I have a little room in the front to push the fender back towards the tire. I had removed the spacer all together and I really didn't need to. I'll see if adding the spacer back in helps. If not I may try to find a little stiffer spring. It would help match back up with the front anyhow because it is a tad soft in the ass.

Lonelywolf I've not tried anyreal photo techniques/manipulation. I like your thinking and maybe I can play with some photos abit.

m357.5 I really like the lamp. Seems like good quality. I think it will look really good on your scoot. I have thought about trying to find a brass on though.

Thanks Tweakin, I had a bunch of help

Hey Joe/Chris, I Thought that photo would add a bit of color to the post. Figured I'd sneak her in and wake things up a little ;D Was my favorite outfit for sure. ;)

Thanks again for all the props fellas. I'm really happy with how the bike turned out and it sure is a blast to ride! Really glad I could share it you you guys!

Troy you will soon learn... they are NEVER done... EVER, my Harley has been done 1000x's! ah ah ha ha ha ha...
now you need to hunt the barns and garages out that way and come across your next project! they are EVERYWHERE MAN! just got to look! i just picked up 2 more scoots for $0 and they both run GREAT! hell one is in mint! build it up and do it again bud... get the wifey on one :)

Goodfornothing i am anal as hell about my bikes, if they are dirty i will wash them before i ride... hell my company name is on my bikes, so i take pride in keeping them looking and running tops... drives my buddies nuts when they come by to ride and i am still wiping her down, or for that matter just pulling her out to wash! IMO, clean bikes run better! so i will stick with that... hell some of my friends love how obsesive compulsive i am wiht clean bikes... if their bike is horribly dirty, they know all they ahve to do is bring it close enough to the shop door, and i will drop what i am doing and shine it up... done know why... just the way i am... my brother and dad are the same way! but hell, we ride in and it is show stopping power when we pull up... i love that shiz!
