Re: broke ass slo bike build
wow, wall of text lol
anyways, Mr. Swagger thanks for taking the time to share your ideas
for anyone wondering, it's on the road and running pretty smoothly only real mechanical issue is that it could probably use a bit of a tune up. on friday i was riding it home from work and all the sudden it began running very poorly. i couldn't figure out what had happened, but i got home.
saturday i went back out to investigate in some shorts bcuz it was hot and i didnt plan on riding. it was hard to start, and i got a backfire...but what was interesting was that i felt a puff of air on my right lower leg. i looked down and found this (bolt dead center of pic)
somehow this bolt had backed itself out at some point and created a gap that was probably sucking air, or expelling it before combustion. im not sure which. but easy fix and back to running better. i haven't pulled the plugs to check whether this made it run rich or lean. they'll probably need to be cleaned.
moving on to the new sportbike take-offs. i was hoping the lights would be much smaller than my current set (maybe just remove all the extra plastic on it and tuck the lights up under the seat.
the seat idea that i expressed poorly in the photochop will hopefully look like a longer version of the Roarer seat, so to fit 2 (perhaps uncomfortably)
i'm not quite equipped to start frame chopping, but we may get there some day. i plan to do exactly what you suggest with a rear hugger fender.
also, wondering what peoples opinions are on the darker blue that stock on my tank? the flat black is only temporary on this evo 0.5 to draw less attention to the parts i plan to change. the blue would stay on the tank, repeat on front and rear fender, possibly some accents. brown seat possibly.
oh yeah, cribbed a bar-end mirror from the wife's old bicycle for work on friday
