2k is a little pricey, but a R75/5 is a pretty nice little scoot.

I could see 12-1400 and keep it for a while, but yeah not gonna flip it and pay a months mortgage

"Great as is or turn it into a Cafe Racer!"

Chop it or Leave it stock?

That seems a bit high in price.. but Im a cheapo when it comes to buying bikes... I dont think I would chop that thing up, its looks pretty clean.

At least this guy isn't selling it as a candidate for a cafe build. When I see bikes this clean and original advertised as a good candidate for a cafe build I don't know which is the bigger douche bag, the guy who recommended it or the buyer who would hack one of these up. There's plenty of old POS out there build cafes from.

He changed the add, in the original his comment was "Great as is or turn it into a Cafe Racer!" someone may have raged on him for the comment. I have see so may really well done modified CB350's I could care less if it was "destroyed" these are not 70 Hemi Cudas or 69 COPO Camaro's you can find a dozen in every city lol

But can you find a dozen clean examples like this? Like I said, there's a few more likely candidates in the other 11 that are not worth restoring to original and make better candidates for a cafe build which we all know doesn't always end up being a better, more valuable bike. This "Cafe Racer" craze will pass. This clean example will be worth more and all that cafe'd bikes will just go the wayside because they will be so changed they can't change back.

Yeah, you might have to look, but I was texted a few days ago with a really low mile 350 scrambler like under 2K low for $1700 and rare color of light blue (dont know honda colors) so I searched and found so many I passed on it

If I was going to build a cafe racer from a CB350 and use the usual route most take by buying it, having delusions of grandeur and then taking the whole thing apart to start from scratch before every hearing it run which doesn't matter because we are tearing the engine down to rebuild anyways.........
I would not start with something like this locally:
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/mcy/5085356959.html
But more likely something like this:
http://athensga.craigslist.org/mcy/5065356050.html

If you gave him $500 for all 5 or 6 you'd be doing him a favor.

Both links are the same bike.

I get the whole preservation thing... I mean hell I would of kept the flag flying but that's a whole nuther story. ;D Being that so many of these exist I would buy a solid running example with little wear and tear to make the process that much cheaper... taking an old junker and spending thousands to just make it go again and then need to buy the tank, mod wheels, seat pan and tail, lights, controls the list can be enormous. So yeah spending a few extra up front and buying one of these "classics" is not so crazy
