CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! (still adding) SS brake lines June 17/11

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! ( Carbs on April 22/10 )

Hmmm, surprised I never commented on this. Bikes looking great first of all!

Pay close attention to the lean/rich mixture of your plugs when you first run her. I had a similiar setup (one filter - offset) when I got my 175 and all the air was making one cylinder run lean. I believe Kanticoy tried the same thing and ended up with the same result - offset filter, one carb lean, one carb rich. Just a heads up!

ya it would seem that if you get the air fuel mixture right for both cyls so that you dont have an either lean or rich condition, then one cyl will be getting a smaller dosage of airfuel mixture. So it would seem that at best youre sacrificing some of your power.. I mean it looks good, but I just cant see how it can be properly tuned. Good luck though.

Thanks for the tip Big R, working on plan B to be safe.

Hey Curb,
I think it looks good, just the right mix of contrast, I'll get a close up pic for you.

Thanks Rocan,

Big R and Boom mentioned a good point of the tube lenghts not being equal, and might cause a rich/lean issue between the two carbs.
I'll let you know, if so I might have to build someing with equal tubes, like this or have two filter one on each side.

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! ( Carbs on April 22/10 )

If $ is kinda flowing freely, I'd say get another K+N filter and have them going out each side of the frame.

Or make a "T" shaped intake with the filter in the center of the carbs.

But I would save up and get another filter - it looked really good.

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! ( update May 2/10)

Progress Report,
Project has been moving very well, cleaned and rebuilt the caliper and master cylinder(still leaking ).
Drilled the bars and routed the controls, relocated the neutral light, added front signals, put on the chain and sprocket, started the wiring and
waiting on a set of coils(ebay) to finish up. then tank and seat ;D.
Heres a few pics.

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! ( Update May 2/10)

Thanks guys!
Getting so close, question when installing the cam how
does one know, after lining up the markings, that the cam
is not 180 degrees off?
Thanks

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! ( Update May 2/10)

I can't speak for the 360, but my 175 only had one marking on the camshaft sprocket. Just had to line it up with the timing mark on the end of the crank.

Lovin the neutral light btw, that idea might find it's way to my bike......
