what kind of master cylinder are you using that has a remote resivior?

At the moment it's simply removed but I will use rear brake pump placed under the tank. I've already got pumpp from GS500. It's really cheap and works great. This will look like this:

NICE WORK!

I love the "WILSON BRO'S" paint scheme; it looks great on the rusted tank (Sure hope it looks better than that on the inside!!)

The whole thing reminds me, even if only a little bit, of a guy's bobber I just saw posted on another site:

I know this is way different than yours; but thought you might dig it anyway...
Keep it coming!

That's exactly the brake set up i'm working on, i'm glad to hear it has worked successfully for people before. What's the bore size of the cylinder you're using?

I love the old school paint scheme ideas!!! Has anyone seen any good tutorials or how-to's on how to do this? I would like to try it on one of my bikes.
thank you,
Steve

The conversion you're making with the hydraulic to cable-frontbrake is done by wrenchmonkees also:

check it out:

Looks sweet so far, keep em coming with LOTS of pics, we're pic whores!

I've been quiet for some time but finally got some update for you. Most of the time I've spent on getting my frame ready for sandblasting and later on powder coating. During those works I cut off tons of unnecessary crap. In the meantime I also checked engine. I need to replace 2 gaskets only (valve cover and oil sump). Pistons look brand new and compression is ok. Next step will be cleaning engine and painting it. More pics soon.

Just curious....how do you make "fake" hardtail shocks?
thank you,
Steve

Well... it's quite easy. Here are the steps:

1. On a lathe you cut off the bottom part of a shock.
2. Remove everything that was inside (oil, shaft, gaskets)
3. Drill top part of cylinder so it will fit new shaft
4. Fabricate new shaft that will be as long as the whole shock (make a thread on the top part)
5. Fabricate busj that will go in the bottom part of cylinder
6. Weld togather: shaft with top part of cylinder, shaft with bush, bush with cylinder and bottom mounting part you previously cut off with cylinder

And that's it :)

damn dude sick build i like the 2nd pic green one but both are badass, like everyone else already said the seat looks badass

This thing is amazing, that is exactly the style of tail I had mocked up for my bike, but since I want to keep the shocks functional, I can't finish a tail until I buy the suspension I'll be running.

Looks awesome!

Finally frame is painted and tires arrived. Next week I'll finish my wheels. In the meantine I'm working on the engine to make it look like new :)

Here's almost the final version of my bike (concept not actually made :) ). At this point I think the only difference will be picture on the tank. I'd like to put there something in Ed Roth style with brown and beige colours.
