So the head light is 4,5" indeed and i got it from Mat www.nonstockgarage.pl . Cool stuff and cool guy. On the other hand I finished painting engine. Covers still need to be mounted but you can have an idea of a final look.
Works are coming to end. Tank and tail are being painted as we speak. Below there are pics taken during paint job. It's not finished but you can see idea behind it. This is paint ! Not real rust.
ok so here's the story behind this paint job. All you need to do is buy special paint used by people who build those models of cars, planes etc. Paint comes in 2 bottles. One bottle contains metalic paint that goes first and than you paint it with the second paint - some kind of salt. Then chemical reaction occurs and you achieve rust like surface. More layers of "salt" = more orange rust. When it comes to the details of surface structure I don't know them couse my friend who painted it keeps it secret But I think after few trys you'll easily find out how to obtain it. when you go to my blog you can see photos of paint bottles.
love the paint job.... my project is actually called "Rust".... and Ive been looking for ways to have my tank painted like rust... you nailed it ! ! ! ! GREAT JOB ! ! ! !
