mike I like the orange blue but mini me has artistic control. The orange blue would "pop" more with the black ribbing on the tank and the stitching with the seat. My wife said our mock-up with the blue orange looked like the eye shadow from the seventies. I think she is jealous of our new girlfriend:)
We may shrink wrap the tank with the 3m orange for a real mock up before paint.

the blue orange is too gulf coast colors for me...I had to fight to add a purple pin stripe. I am gonna appeal to his Dutch heritage... The sea needs to be on the bottom and the sun on the top IMO.

We found the missing piece to compliment the Glass from the Past vintage seat. It is the Valkyrie Rune aftermarket headlight. Gonna modify to add a speedo. Retro will give her lean lines and will work with the Perreault offset racing bars.

Definitely Blue w/ orange accents.
Mattfeet my son agrees with you! Our whole family has said orange w blue accents. He said, "I don't care what you think!" Gotta love a kid who can stand up to peer pressure!

Well my nine year old art director said, "I don't care what they think the bike will be blue!" He did an abstract in school this week. Even her underwear is blue.

I am gonna go against the family too. LOL

Blue with the orange accents for sure. Although I am a big fan of the Gulf racing colors.

Thanks y'all we got some goodies in the mail. Ek high performance 29h timing chain, 2 links, racing springs, and viton seals. Brent at Glass From the Past has shipped our seat and it should be here next week. We are still looking for our cl scrambler exhaust. We think our gal needs some wings so we are looking for some Honda rc51 rearsets. Mini me says we are blacking out the motor so we have been powwowing with the acetone and brushes. The color scheme is decided. Now we have to finish fabrication. The jug is being bored. Our neighbor Steve is gonna teach us how to lap the valves.

1869.00 as of week 6...oh it doesn't do any good to have a budget that went out the window as soon as you plopped down the first 200 bucks. But hey get a space heater and the dog house will be warm like ours is...gotta go I see something on ebay.

it hurts alot less if you don't keep track of cost

oh it would be way more painful if we didn't keep track of the cost...I would hear things like, "you better make some stainless steel titanium balls out of those valves and pistons cause you are gonna need them!" ;)

So we decided to abandon eBay and do it the old fashion way. We scored some major treasure. 1/2 of our exhaust we were told they didn't have and some wings off a 600cbrf
That have a steel brake arm so we can move the eye from 9 to noon and it should work with our brake light and I bet eBay doesn't have a nasty bathroom with cool art!

Hey y'all we decided to mock up our colors with rattle cans don't worry we will strip it all down later and do it the Pro way...The tank is cooking in the oven and mom knows! We decided that we could use engine paint so we could cure it. We enlisted some of our neighbors to prep and prime.
