I figured I'd throw up some progress photos

I made a new seat pan and road it like this for about a month. The copper pipe holds tools, fuses and registration.

I made a fuse box and got some of the wiring cleaned up. See the cute little thumb nail fuses?

Oh, and a new chain and I made the inner fender. The reg/rec is from Oregon city cycles.

Added preload adjusters from the 400fourstore

This pic is out of sync, I painted the tank before doing any of that stuff above.

I don't own a tig welder and I'm on a tight budget right now so I made a bracket from scraps and drilled/tapped it to attach everything.

Bobbed the front fender and painted it flat black. It will eventually match the tank. Also here is the final shap of the seat cowl but I still have more work to do with it.

Scored a 400fourstore swing arm used for $200

Ive actually got two batteries by the same company but they are smaller, 6v 3.5ahr. But Im putting them in the same place on my cb350. Great minds think alike, eh?

just so you know I buffed it out and clear coated it to achieve that look. Plus the copper will oxidize very quickly.

The rain is coming so I'm going to switch from riding to building soon. I've put a few things off because in order to move forward the bike would have to be taken apart for a couple of days and I just couldn't make that decision while it was sunny.

any idea if those preload adjusters will work on a 500t front end? 35mm forks...

I doubt they'll work 400f forks are 33mm. Ask Kevin at the 400fourstore he might be able to hook up though.

Maybe his supplier makes some that will fit.

Sweet looking 400F, what set up are you using for the steering damper and mount?

Thanks.
Sorry I can't tell you the brand name I bought it used and it doesn't have and info on it. I've taken it off because I'm installing an oil cooler and it will no longer will work. I'd sell it for $35 shipped if you want it.

Cool, I just sent you pm.

Here is the most recent pic of the bike together. The exhaust leaks and was made wrong so I'm having a local welder rework it soon. The seat is upholstered now and it's MY T FINE

I drilled the disk and then took it to a local brake shop for resurfacing. I also bead blasted the carrier and clear coated it.

I'm making a fork brace, here it is with the layout right after removing the big sections.

Fender brace in it's template.

Fender brace on the bike with the new fender. I also bead blasted the forks and clear coated them so they're not black anymore. Black is dumb now.
