Nice work rat I have a 400F to build up and although im not cafing, yours is one of the nicest 400f cafes I have seen, def like the cleared bare metal look! how about a few more pics

Sorry to go back a fair bit Rat but I was hoping you could let me know what you paid for those preload fork caps? Looking for some myself when I order my rearsets from TTR400.

I don't remember who much the preload fork caps were. TTR should have a line on the them. I sold the 400 a month ago.
Here's some pics.

I found a red tank and ran that for awhile but the silver tank was one there the most.

The PO cut it off because he was dumb and I never fixed it because the motor is still mounted by two through bolts and the front motor mounts. I road that bike for four years that way with no issues. I even road it 500 miles in two days at freeway speeds on more than one occasion. I wouldn't remove something like that myself but given the bikes track record I don't see a problem with it being gone.

Here's as far as I got last night with the rearset brackets.

I hit a bump the other night, bottomed out the rear shocks and it tore out my rear plastic fender that had a bunch of electrical attached to it up under the seat bump. I scrapped the plastic fender completely and started a aluminum. I hope to have some pics of it up by Wednesday. I also tightened up the shocks in hopes it'll take less to bottom out.

Whatever became of these?
