Here we go again....xv920 Turbo?

Man I love that seat. I reminds me of an old WWII fighter plane. Great looking bike so far, make it machanical and cool brother.

Yeah man. I know you weren't planning on using that seat originally (I think), but damn does it look good.

Bare metal with satin clear and upholster the seat with an old army dufflebag!

with teh 30's and 40's you thought of trying to do something like nemo's car?
you can make metal dish covers for the wheels pretty easy... i love all the metal work on the stuff they used in the movie... very dope!

After I put it on there today I found myself looking it over to see what I could do about cleaning/straightening up. I guess we'll see what happens. I try not to use stuff that was intended for a previous build ya know...? Makes me feel like I'm in a rutt..

Ahh but this seat didn't stay on speed heap so maybe it was destined for this beast? I like it anyway, and Swaggers Idea sounds cool.

I cant see the pics yet, as my phone is less than stellar but Im sure youre doing a swell job tiger. Sorry I missed your call. Fucking work... Ill try ya after I clock out. Oh, and do you still want these rearsets dude? Lemme know.

You know what, I think that is the way it should be. Why hide that you turbo'd it? Let everyone see that it is a crazy cool bike. The bike will be skinny anyway so the turbo sticking out for everyone to see might be pretty cool. Just don't dump it on that side ;D

Okay, I'm just going to spit it out, since I'm never going to build it anyway.... How about putting the fuel tank under the bike? You'll need a pump to alter fuel pressure as referenced to boost, anyway. Then use the tank you have now as a heat shield, so you can put the turbo above the motor. Just cut the bottom out of the tank. Then the turbo could be both visible, and out of the way. (this was something I planned for an FZ600/Seca turbo hybrid.)

Or.....tuck it behind the engine, in/under your seat Subframe? That would allow you to keep the plumbing to reasonable length.....

personally i am a big fan of showing off stuff like that... i would run it right under your right knee on the bike when your feet are on the rear sets, so it hangs out there... i tried to get Tim to do that when we mocked up the turbo on the 750 but he pointed out for plumbing purposes and piping he wanted to keep it tight behind the engine in the frame rails

ya know lou he may be on to somethign there with the turbo placement... what if you did a false tank. like a goldwing runs for example, then under the seat you can fab up your gas tank, run it off the rails and drop it down 2 -3 inches the lenght, would let you get a good 2 - 2.5 gallons if not more. would leave you plenty of room to do your wires and run your fuel/oil pump in there as well... then in the false tank hid that turbo but cut holes in the tank along the side. light it up in there

i like it! i would mount it right there, i really like how you narrowed the seat... hate the lamp :) but i know that is just for mock up i would assume

hahahah little bling bling... some day ill rub off on ya! hahaha... honest though the dummy tank would be sick... and would keep the bike nice and lean and still show off the amazing work! exp wth the piping running into the tank! would look insane, almost steam punk ya know!
