Honda Build

Are you a murderer

Sir, I believe perhaps you are confusing "murderer" with "COWARD". Very understandable considering the irritant.

Re: Honda CB

It doesn't matter what he changes his name to, you only have to get one page into any thread to hear him constantly pat himself on the back about how awesome he his and you know it's JWilde.

Re: Honda CB

I like when he said Jrod clearly doesn't know what he's talking about, then 2 posts later said he is clearly knowledgeable. ::)

Your builder doesn't know shit.

JRod *IS* knowledgeable. Me saying he might not know what hes talking about in this instance, in no way dismisses his overall capabilities. Sure we've had our spats and yes Ive disparaged him a bit as a response, but hes still capable.
What I meant to say, which is what Teaser astutely picked up on, from the photo, its not entirely possible to say that the tire will 100% rub against the frame. Teazer doesnt seem to think it will, and my builder, I will say again, is a very smart, conscientious and capable builder whom I have 100% faith and trust in.

Umm, the only person who deserves a pat on the back is the dude building my bike, and a few of the dudes here who have been helpful. Youre living dreamland. Ive not patted myself on the back at all in this post. Do a review and get back to me.

This is psychology 101. I speak well, am educated, have means (thank god) ad dont Kow-tow to the above 60 crowd that runs things around here. Ive never acquiesced and have always had a strong sense of self. A lot of ppl dont like that.

Further, if you review this post, you will see I NEVER talk about myself or anything personal AT all until the bored few seek to derail my posts. It makes me laugh, to watch grown men become children in the face of ..... nevermind.

Ultimately, my hat goes off to my builder. I havent done a damn thing on the bike. Hes the one with the know-how.

I can tell you 100% without a doubt that teazer is just being cordial, and that to say he thinks it wont rub is 100% incorrect, and that I have modified dozens of frames, and could outbuild your "builder" with one eye closed and both hands tied behind my back, and that your tire will 100%, undoubtedly, without question hit the seat pan. Funniest thing about all of this is that it's the EASIEST concept to grasp, and you don't get it.

Didn't you say that about your last builder? How did that go?

It's not that he doesn't get it, it's that he already made up his mind before he got it and is too stubborn or stupid or scared to change course. The "live and learn" quote is what's really funny, because when that rear tire locks up on the pan and his lack of defensive riding skills as a new rider leave him as a splat on the concrete and the bike a twisted piece of garbage, he'll never actually have the opportunity to learn from his mistake.

Damned shame. That bike was pretty.

Hey whoa easy there. This is the kind of post that gets him to change shit. Where's the fun in that?

That the real issue. That my aesthetic is different from the general consensus. The bike was a Rolls Royce and I turned it into something out of "Mad Max - Road Warrior." I love what Ive done with it; the deconstructed, somewhat beat up look. I didnt want to ride a cherry red lollipop all over the city and through the deserts of Phoenix, Arizona and Utah when it comes time for THAT bike to make that trip.

I could easily find another 350F just like that, same color, buy it, and put it in the garage. Nope. I LIKE the way this bike looks. I like what my builder has suggested and I like his work and his honesty as a person.

It is not certain there is a clearance issue. Ppl THINK there might be, but its not established. Even Teaser said there may not be an issue. But ppl, out of either concern, or self-importance, NEED to say and believe there IS a clearance issue when there may not be, and nail me to the cross for it.

I have no definitively said what I am going to do IF there is a clearance issue, but it should be clear, I plan to address it should there be an issue. So for you to say Im going to "keep on a destructive course" is a fantasy path you need to walk along so you can argue with me.

No one liked that I chopped up the red lollipop. Not my prob. I like my post apocalyptic looking bike

And with that said this is a self correcting problem that may be up for a Darwin Award. Let it happen folks
He is obviously at peace with it

Reading is fundamental. There's no "darwinism" at work here. Its cute to be clever but only when being clever is actually being clever. Youre not.

I repeat

There has always been a divide on this site between those who demand that things be built to a minimum performance standard, i.e. a machine is not worthy unless it functions nearly the same as stock or better, and those who like to build things for style and looks. Suffice it to say, it does not matter how much clearance you have if your rear suspension doesn't move, and that's fairly easy to achieve with stiff springs and preload. Will the bike handle or be comfortable? Nope. But to some appearance is all that matters. To each their own. If you hit a bump and crash, that's on you.

I personally attempt to get both, though honestly my own tenadncies certainly lean more towards performance. You need to consider the amount of travel at the shock shaft, look at how much more you get at the wheel due to it being behind the shock mount, and work to get minimal clearance plus 15% for tire size changes, flex, etc. All of that considered, 11 pages in 2 days. You all need to spend a little more time working on your bikes and less time attempting to prove you are smarter than random strangers on the internet. Probably do everyone some good to just not stress about it.

I think you're missing the point for some of us chris. We are having fun. This is good entertainment. If we wanted it to stop it would be really easy.
