Hey Aido,
Thanks alot for the offer mate! Have been flat-stick with work and all the "family man" stuff. Absolutely NO lack of enthusiasm, but lack of time and $$$. :'(
Def want to catch up. I will contact you during the week.

Cheers, Jase ;D

Hello All,
Made a little more progress FINALLY!!! ;D

Almost there, just wiring, exhaust, and a few little bits.

Excuse the pic quality, my camera croaked, so took shots will mobile phone :-[

Cheers Jase.
And as always, love to hear comments, by the way Chris, check my mailbox every day and still NO expansion Chamber!!! ;) :p ::)

I applaud you! ;D

Has come up very well. Stand tall. Be proud.
Whats next? ;D

To tidy up you can remove the rear pillion pegs, battery box bracketry, airbox bracket. Take another look at the pics I put up of mine. Add a stainless or alloy battery box - to hold the battery of course ;) Ditch the standard pegs and fabricate some rear sets using a ZX9 set - the shift spline is the same even after 25 years and I've got 2 templates to choose from.
Have got a speedo for you, a rubber for the kick start, a headlight surround with better chrome than existing and a tacho if you want. Have got a rough and ready standard exhaust suitable for modification - BYO Mig.
Got other goodies too- pistons, rings, barrels, rods, cranks, ignitions, heads, discs, carbs - but it all depends upon how far you want to take it.
Oh and in the true spirit of it I'm not selling - I'm giving.

I love your work and your enthusiasm so far.
Would take me a serious amount of procrastination to get as far as you have in such a short time.

Thanks Aido,

Really kind words mate, could not be happier!! :-[
Would love to catch up and get you're advise on a heap of things on the KH. Still a little more to do, exhaust, wiring, and tons of finicky little bits to touch-up, clean, polish etc.

Here's a couple more pics of some polishing I have done on the side case covers. (Excuse the pic quality, mobile phone at night!!) :'(

If you are available next Sunday (27th), could catch up and drool over the racers :p

Cheers again for the words and encouragement. I dont know anybody who is keen on bikes, so I was out in the wild all alone on my first project :'( :'( :'(

Jase.

Will be home Sunday Jase. I'll pm you my address.
Bring those cases with you. I have a small home based business in metal polishing and I can certainly point you towards the buff and give some tips that will bring them up better than you first imagined. The unfortunate thing about those 70's castings is that the used alot of Zinc and nickel in the alloy in order to get them to cast properly and as such they oxidise quickly and they are very soft. They take alot of effort to get into first class condition and then keep them there.
Picking up my Lathe on sat so more services available soon. ;D ;D
Your welcome to swing by anytime.
When I spoke to you on the phone you were damn near wetting yourself so just wait until you see all that is here in the KH Factory ;D ;D ;D

Thanks again mate,
I will bring the cases, I know exactly what you mean with the oxidisation, I polished for quite some time, and then they would not become any better.
Oh! "damn near wetting myself", I think there may have been a little bit of excited puppy pee :-[ :-[ :-[ but dont tell anyone! :-X

Hear from you soon,
Jase

Going to liquidate everything I have KH100 related in the coming weeks.
Have got a few things set aside for you - clipons, exhaust etc - but if you want first dibs on everything else, including a full warts and all bucket racer then let me know.

Aido

Righto.
Engine is built. ;D
Just need to fit the Carb rubber mount - I just got a new one for the 125 and have to order another again. KHI Japan will wonder whats going on with me ordering all these! Apparently there are still 63 in stock over there so I'll make the call tomorrow and get another sent over.
Will fit that new small end bearing and pin I gave you when you come to get it. Will also require the 25mm round slide also.
In the meantime order a new Mikuni general purpose / multi fit cable from http://www.iwt.com.au/ . Next day delivery and less than $15 from memory.

What did the missus say?
