loks like some progress over there. hey do you have a blaster? i need to clean some parts of my frame before i do some welding

no blaster. i made a bootleg soda blaster for my motor out of vinyl hose air compressor and a box of baking soda. worked alright but the better the compressor the better the spray. they also sell attachments at home depot for sand or media blasting with regular air compressor for cheap.

shit, you shuolda called me. i think i have all those sidestand parts at my house. i didnt see any of your posts until now. if you stilll need measurements or photos let me know what you need and ill get what info i have by morning

for my bars i'm going to go with a sleeker look. so i'm trying to see what will work any ideas on throttle and cable.

here is the throttle i'm thinking about using.

that seems like it would work if i find one for 7/8. the only thing is that i believe the 175s are dual cable throttles. would i be able to convert or does it just matter on the the throttle i decide to get.

im not an expert so if im wrong someone please correct me. i cant remember what the 175s look like, but on the 360 the pull cable is more of a fail safe. there is a spring on the carb that returns the throttle. if that fails, the cable will pull it back. ive been running only one cable on my 360 w no problems. but the 175 throttle splits to enter each carb. i think there is a spring in the carb?

here is the switch i was thinking about using i would like a flatter one instead of a straight ring around the bars but haven't found anything.

ducon switch believe it will work for a on and off headlight switch and blinkers. it is wired for high and low which i figure i could wire for left and right blinker and has a kill or horn button which i figure to wire for headlight on or off. any ideas?

Right, 1 spring in each carb. I don't know how the push/pull setup is, but you should be able to use the original throttle cable.

Being that they are going on drag bars, the og cable shouldn't even need shortened

the horn switch is probably a momentary switch. only works when being depressed. so unless you plan on holding it down for the high beam, it might not work. but if it is wired for kill, it might work. not sure how the kill circuit works.

On the throttle i used that on another project bike of mine, it came as a kit. Push and pull cable as well, but the cables wont work with these carbs, but a single cable should thread right in. I'd cover the extra hole though. i also got rid of my factory switches and installed a signal dynamics module that uses simple pushbutton controls, then used radius pushbuttons. I'll post pictures later, gotta make kids dinner.

so i opened the motor. good thing i did. i'm going to hone the cylinders and i have the new rings on the way. the piston heads are in good shape but i'm not sure about the valves. i think i'm going to have to take them apart and do some measurements. ( i don't want to) let me know what you think here are some pics.

this is the right (?) valves i can't remember right now but look how the intake valve sits (seems nice?)

this side the intake valve doesn't sit all the way. was thinking if i might have to lap but not sure.

any suggestions

SOOOOO sorry it took so long to get these up.

This is a picture of the clutch and turn signal setup. The clutch perch and lever are off of a 2006 Kaw ZX10 and the buttons or stainless mini pushbuttons connected to a signal dynamics self canceling turn signal module. I even have emergency flashers :)

This is the brake and throttle. The brake master cylinder is off of a 2005 ninja 250, and the throttle is a motion pro kit that has all the cables and throttle included for like 60 bucks.

Here is an overall picture of the bars including the Acewell Speedo/tach. The bars are a superbike bend. Don't mind the messy garage. It's a busy time for me :-[

i'm a lager we all know that. anyways i ordered a new throttle and have some questions about the switches. i still haven't had time to meet up with josh to work on the honing but hopefully this weekend. things keep coming up. i'm thinking about using this switch below. what i want is an on/off for headlight left and right turn signals. i believe this will do the job any suggestions would help since i'm not that good with electrical

i need to find some rings for my pistons. i got a universal switch for my bike, but i dont have a pic of it here. as long as your switch fits a 7/8" bar and has all the functions you want on it, i think anything will work.
