Hi and thanks for looking. This is my third build the first is here http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=22950.msg243299#msg243299 But not had chance to load up the second one, if I get enough interest I’ll get it sorted. BTW it’s a Z650 with a Gpz750 lump shoe horned in. Here is the start of a 1978 CX500. I managed to get this off EBay and was cheap as chips.....well 112 bags of them! I started this build over 6 months ago and it’s about 75% there. So over the next few weeks I’ll do some posting
I managed to get my hands on a pair of Ducati monster up side down forks with yokes. I had to press and machine the CX triple tree centre stem to fit the tree/yokes of the monster forks.
Hi Rich,
Here is a pic with a bit of detail, hope this helps with the build!
As for the bike, the comstar wheels are not staying.
This will of course rase the question. what are you using for the back end as it's shaft drive?????
Watch this space ;D
You've got my interest regarding the rear wheel, the only easy adaptations I've seen are spokes or stock (or GL1000) so I'm curious to see if it's something different to one of those as I'd be interested in doing a conversion on mine if you have some neat way of doing it
Next for what I had in mind was a bit drastic. I needed to widen the frame by 1” to take the new swing arm. There has been a lot of curiosity about what I’m doing with the back end. Tune in tomorrow night pop stars to find out!
