and on!

so i really want to sew up my own seat cover but i had no idea how to do it. and i didnt want to waste money by screwing up expensive materials. so i cut up an old pair of jeans and gave it a shot. its no where near perfect. but i was kind of impressed with what i turned out. visualy I made my seat cusion a little bit thicker than I wanted, but it is really comfortable so I am gonna deal with the size of the seat. I may adjust it a tad but this is about what it is going to look like. i am a little bummed out because i really kinda like the look of the denim but it wont match my bike at all. so i will have to do a denim seat on my next bike. cause i think the style is pretty cool. also it is not very tight on the seat pan because i just hot glued it and tucked it in to get an idea of the fit and finish. so that is why it is a little lumpy on the edges.

I also put together a new logo that i really like. its a honda version of an old ducati logo that i really like.

most of the letters where there. i just had to move the letters around a little in ms paint and it came out pretty cool looking.
here is what i am thinking the finished paint will look like on the tank and seat

i dont have a good sewing machine so i dont think i am going to be able to do the white pipeing around the edge of the seat. itll probably just be black with the same stiching as the denim test seat.

that should look sweet i like those little exhausts two into one or duel pipes?
still cant belive how good that moto guzzi is on this thread do u know any more about it, or where more pics are?

I always wanted to do 2 into 1 on this bike but i am running out of money so I am probably just gonna do the dual pipes. as for the guzzi I dont really know anything else about it. I saw it on a google image search and liked the look of it.

Heck once you get the leather done...put that denim seat on ebay for 50 bucks OBO as is, no returns. somebody will buy it. and they will love it.

The machine is looking great.

I just pulled my 24" trumpets off and put on emgo 15" slash...same as 12s . The 360 LOVES them, made the animal come to life. and they sound freakin awesome. Especially on the idle. Nice Deep and Mellow. the 24s were way too restrictive. compare at Amazon and JC Whitney for best price and shipping options for the 12s. I got mine from JC and they offered free shipping so they came out cheaper. But check both. and keep checking back w JC cause they vary the minimum order to receive free shipping every week or so. sometimes its $100, other weeks its $50 to get free shipping.

Nice job brother! The bike looks super cool! That gives you a great feeling when get it running eh?

yea it was unreal! it felt really amazing. but now i have lots more work to do. new mufflers, rear sets, turn signals, headlight tail light, sonreir has a sweet new gauge sticker coming my way. i got a new set of braided lines for the front brake i am going to replace the handlebar control switches. i need to get a chain still.i want new tires. and paint! i need to finish my seat. ugh. man this thing still has a long way to go. but thats what i wanted was a project!

Always nice to get to this stage in the build. It feels like you have a lot of the work behind you, but it's that last 5%-10% that takes all your time. :)

yea i just spent a stupid amount of time sewing up my seat cover.i will get a picture up of that soon. i am looking forward to getting that gauge sticker!

Re: My CB360 barn find(New Stuff)

alright so i got my new braided brake lines today from slingshot. i really like they way they came out. and i sewed up my seat cover. i still need to adjust it a little but its about as good as i can get by my self. so i am happy with it.

Re: My CB360 barn find (More Pics)

i have been trying to get the old crusty mufflers off the cb for like a week now. i dont have any sort of torch and i did not want to cut them off, so the only other option was a can of pb blaster, a hammer and an hour of pissing off my neighbors while i whacked the crap out of it. I WON! so mufflers off, and i finally figured out a way of attaching my seat to the bike. and i got my front brake bled and working. i pulled off my front fender but before i try to ride it i will put it back on or do a fork brace at least.

Nice color scheme with the house. That bike is curb appeal!
Looks great. The seat is sized just right. Well done.

Thanks guys. I am really happy with the way the seat turned out too. it still surprises me that i did everything on that seat by hand and it turned out the way it did. i cant wait to see it painted. i am not sure if i am the only one who does this but i really enjoy just sitting on my bike in the garage. its a nice seat to sit on. and i guess it does kinda match the house a little haha.

Looking great. at this point you could easily push that headlight down to the bottom triple and make a sheetmetal Z bracket to lower your gauges. So they sit flush w triple.
I prefer that to the gauges sticking up in the air like a couple Mickey mouse ears over headlight. I dont know why but it drove me crazy that those gauges interrupted the total line of the machine. like a Honda after thought. I think it looks a little more aggressive and sleek. Im usually not that anal bout stuff like that.
