Aaaaaaw dude... I won't be able to sleep tonight, that pic just burned into my brain. I love the early 450's and toaster tanks are porn to me....

Here's my daily ride. Massive fun. I work 3 miles from home, but it always takes me an hour to get there and back.

I had a chance to buy one of these, running, titled and tagged for 1500 bucks before I knew anything abouth motorsickles. Still kick myself for not buying it when I had the chance, I have never seen another for sale since.

That fender stay looks really good. Nice little detail work.

I miss my 450.

She's just about finished switching out my bars and I'm in the process of making a seat, and littles things like making new earas for the headlight and nitpicky styling things
Picked her up for $1000 with 5,506 original miles.

That looks like a blast!

Quite boring compared to these fine bikes, but my '06 GL1800 is my daily. 7 years, over 80k miles.

Finally took a pic and posted to my photobucket. Here's the dail rider- 1980 XS850SG- all the typical upgrades, plus a period Krauser trunk and Tracy sport fairing to increase usefulness.

Between the 750's & 850's, I've owned about a dozen of these bikes. Very under rated and versatile bikes. They make great torque and when sorted they run hard. Just a great motorcycle and lucky for those of us that know about them, they are usually well priced and easy to find. They also have some of the greatest support sites. Can't ever say enough about these three cylinder beasts....

Dig that fairing, Wahoo. I wish somebody would make a cool looking top box. I have a Krauser that came with my 'wing, and I could keep my helmet in it, but godDamn is it ugly.

Picked up the fairing at mid -Ohio VMD for $20. Repaired a crack and rattle canned it. Had one color matched to my 82 suzuki back in 84. Love the way they look and agree need a manufacturer to step up.

Wow, I am jealous.

No need for that, Norton Dominators regularly pop up for sale in repairable condition for a few thousand dollars. A year and a half ago this bike was a complete basket case. I simply decided I wanted to ride it and put it together with whatever maintenance it needed to make it useable again. Anyone could do the same thing. Here is a page showing some of the process the bike went through to get it on the road:

Nice 650SS. Dad's got a 650SS in a box ready to be put together. We might put it in a thinline featherbed frame currently in a 65' Atlas. He tells me it's a smoother engine than the 750 and makes about the same power.
