MY GS 400 IN DIFFERENT STAGES

What ya think of this for a gastank decoration with some others?
Thinking of using the orange, white and blue for the base and just abb stickers as i go.
I had to hammer my gastank to get a real steeringratio and till i get a gastank i actually like i think this might be a good solution.
(not the pokemons)LOL :D

Stickered tanks are cool in my book! Wonder if anyone has ever cleared over them after words?

I had to re-smash my gastank with a hammer to make the steering work well.
Here`s a pic after the last beating. ;)
And Taggat,i am going to use clear foil or epoxy on top of the stickers,i`ve been wondering about using a Jap newspaper as "wallpaper" and cut their flag in red foil on top of it.
Going to do some experiments in a couple of hours. (Days it will be)
Tune in saturday afternoon/Night and the tryouts is on photo-doc!

Thanx Z.
I only had to change bearings and it was bolt on,the stem lenght was the same. :D

I would like to do the same on my CX, but I can't get past that mis-matched front wheel.

The USD forks do look fantastic though.

Hey Hoosier i found inspiration at stickerbomb.com or something. Done it to som snowboards, carfenders and stuff.

Jup Skyler. the wheel adaptation sure can be tricky.
I am going with 17" gsx 3 spoked to begin with.(maybe stickerbomb them to or paint them in babyblue...LOL ;)

I`ve just sanded my tank for the second time, but i wont show the result......hehe.
It`s antifreeze,and its needed...lol :p
Salute!

Well its time for some action even if i got northern europes largest hangover, and my multitasking is limited to walk and chew chewinggum at the same time...(its multitasking right ???)
The progress to day will be to make a papersheet of the tank to make a layout for the stickerbombing, swap some wheel bearings and when the aspirins kick in i will machine som spacers to tryout my 18" in front!
Well here crawls :p :'(...........LOL

Well i got something done, not much but some.
Ran out of stickers :-[.
But i`ll find a permanent marker and use google translate to write a whole lot of bullshit on Japanese in between but i will wait till i am finishing my disco poodle time in the nightclub,so within the next 10 hrs i will do my interpretation of various jap signs.....LOL
Made some spacers to make the frontwheel fit,but got the wrong bearings in my hangover hurrying.
Well heres a couple of pic`s from this afternoon.

Nope,it was the bolt that all of a sudden was to long (because of spacer/shim?) was pulled of the bolt when i disassembled it.
And it went 2mm tops to much.
I´ll see if i can take a pic on the morning,if i dont grab me a whisky anf finishes of the rest of the engine with an axe..... ::)
Kidding!
Cant wait to see what really happened to morrow when its all cleaned up.
If i have to replace the case i am buying another engine instead :p

Too late now, but I wanted to show you a welded case like I promised earlier.

the case had broken in a u-ish shape. There is a bit of oil below that somehow got on after the case was back together LOL. But it never leaked and worked great.

It was actually welded from the inside BTW.

That was a nicely welded case.
Doing some wiring friday,so i am exited to see if it holds on to the oil when its hot!

18" stock front fitted ;)
And so much easier than i thougt :D
Have to make spacers for the cbr 1000f rotors and shim for the calipers.
Wery pleased with both the looks and the cost :)

Off to work :p
Getting some pegmounts done for the MX-pegs to day if all goes as planned..(fingers crossed)
Have to do a search for a TUV approved taillight and a superbike bar.
Since i am going to run pegs in its stock location (2" higher) i think the clipons will be a pain to ride.
Time will tell!
Carpe Diem.......... :D

Would GS 500e(89-) slingshot carbs be of the best replacements for my bike?
Been thinking about gsxr 750`s as well, but these models uses a big variety og both brands and sizes.
