thanks not sure how i feel about the perforation in the triangulated section cause im not really going for the speed hole theme, but we'll see.. i am thinking however of making the tail out of tubing, and having two like "gullwing" doors so to speak for the sides.. then having a slide out battery and electrical tray.. might try and photshop that together to get some input.

I am following your build closely ;D . It looking super rad. Kinda where I want to go with my 450 whenever I get a chance to start working on it again :p Keep up the good work man.

yep i picked up a CB550 tank, similar to this one here, although this is a 750 which is a little longer.. actually sent it out last week to the same guy who did the mods on this one here.. going to do the side knee dents, and get everything cleaned up and into prime.. should be about 3-4 weeks ive been told once he receives the tank. we'll see. pretty excited though, lots of parts being shipped around, cant wait for everything to come back and i can get this into a rolling state, then get the rear tail section wrapped up.

gonna make one.. so i wanna do a tail out of tubing, and have to sides made from fiberglass or tin, not sure which would be easier just yet.. and have them gullwing open from either side.. so a vertical hoop for the arch, and a curved middle bar down the middle.. then the two gullwing panels on either side.. which would hide my battery/electical components.. did a simple rough idea for you on photoshop.. this picture is looking down at it.. black are the tubes, red for the panels.. what do you think?

Well if u can pull it off that will be pritty trick dude

You could maybe do your seat first so you can get the shape u want and then bend the tubing up after then cut the seat in to that ??

Cool idea dude :)

yeah i mean i want it to look almost similar to your current tail.. just framed in tubing, then have the panels inserted, and have them gullwing up or slide out, not exactly sure about that just yet. im thinking mesh insert, then fiberglass over it to make the pieces, what do you think? your'e the guru of body work sir! ha

Thankyou mate but I'm just a dust monkey lol

I recon that's a good idea, tbh you can use anything to get a basic shape.

You could use your mesh and then put a clay over that. U can shape that all u want , get that to a nice finish an then you could lay 2 layers of woven twill cloth over that, that will give a nice even layer as a posed to fibreglass strand Matt .

Then finalise with a light skim of filler , high build 2k primer an your done mate :)

The limit is only your imagination when it comes to glass work ;)

Ding dong delivery today. Hoping to have my wheels back from the powder pros next week.
