Re: My 1976 CB750F Build

Nice brake lines. That rear one is especially trick looking.

Re: My 1976 CB750F Build

wow nice build cant wait to see it when its done. Im loving that new oil t you made and looks better than stock. How long have you been going at this bike for? and what else do you plan on doing to it

Re: My 1976 CB750F Build

Since last June :/
I was going to tear it down and get the frame coated, but at this point I just want to ride it.

My buddy just finished coating the oil tank. I haven't seen it yet, but he sent me a teaser pic.

I think that's it.
Just some new fuel lines.
I got my rearsets squared away as well as the rear and front brakes. The big hurdle will be getting it to run and troubleshooting whatever I messed up :p

Re: My 1976 CB750F Build

How is that for fast turn around... you dropped the tank off 2 days ago and got it back yesterday!!! NOW that is fast!

Re: My 1976 CB750F Build

Wooptie woop!
Yeah, that was awesome.
I wasn't expecting it back to soon, I thought I'd have time to get other stuff done.
Now I have no excuse for dragging my feet on finishing stuff up.

Also, anyone know where I can buy braided stainless locally?
For oil

Re: My 1976 CB750F Build

make your own, same as i showed you on the throttle cables and clutch... works great

Re: My 1976 CB750F Build

I'm making my own, but I need the actual hose.
Already have the fittings.

Re: My 1976 CB750F Build

Ah, very cool.
I don't recall seeing that.
So can you pick up that stuff locally?

only the oil lines Nappa, the covering is ordered from cable organizer

I'll just get the lines for now from napa.
Since it's the breather line that I need it for, I'm not to worried about switching it out later.
The main oil lines are good to go.
Still have to find a plug.....

Re: My 1976 CB750F Build

Joe, in order to prevent fraying, can you actually leave the heat shrink tubing on the line, or does the oil get too hot?

Re: My 1976 CB750F Build

Check it out.
After some research, I figured out the size of this plug, which wasn't used as a plug, but for an oil filter.

Cool enough Holley makes a fuel plug in the same size and thread, and it matches my fittings.
