Pjkf: Two-Up CL350 Cafe "Variant" (Completed Photos)

Hahaha! No sir. The padding is 1" race foam. The seat is fiberglass and the padding was a good way to get a little bit of support. I'll have to work on it a little bit now that I have actually ridden it.

Came that way. :) I actually have a set of stock heat shields on the way too.

Man. Mine were black as midnight with a heavy helping of rust. Hard to believe they once looked that pretty.

Thank you very much! I got married a little over a week ago and moved that same weekend. I am getting the bike delivered by my parents this weekend. Even a week without this thing is torture!

Fox, I'll try to get a video of it up soon, life is crazy.

Congrats on marriage and moving! No worries. I'm sure you've got plenty to handle right now. Get to it when you get to it. Looking forward to it.

Thank you good sir! Yes I do have quite a bit on my plate, but it's all welcomed.

Here are a few pictures...

A chain just as old as the bike:

Glad to have it back after a couple of weeks.

That's a fantastic looking bike. I had to take do a second-take on all the later photos because they look like you have a black-n-white bike in a color background. You definitely took all the color out of the bike. Looks wonderful and good job on the build thread. You did a pretty good job on your first bike/build. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next.

Thank you very much! I Like keeping the colors off of the vehicles I drive/ride. Other than the main body color. I may change the color of the tank soon, but I'll just ride it until then.
I enjoyed the build and couldn't have done it without the help of SuddenlyCalm here on the forum and the rest of the DTT community. I hope to do a few more builds in the future.

Love this bike man. Grats

Thank you very much. I can't help but notice your screen name. I had an AW11 before I bought this bike. Fun little car that it was, I didn't have enough garage space to keep it torn apart to do what I wanted to.
I saw your SW20 and I have to say that I am a huge fan. I hope I can get my hands on another MR2 at some point.
Again, thanks for the feedback.

Oh yah where did you see it? Background of a picture I posted? Sadly I sold it in February to my cousin to fund the finish of this project, and he crashed it less than a month later. Still really upset about it I loved that car. Like you I plan on picking up another sometime, great cars.

I've already started to think about my next bike build and after looking around here your bike and 66replicas spartan bike have influenced me to wanna build a Two-Up next.

I don't recall where on the site I saw it, but I sure had to mention it. Too bad about what happened to it, I would have felt sick if I was in your position. They really are great cars.

Thank you! It means a lot to know my bike was a source for inspiration. Good luck on your next project! I'll be sure to follow it when you start.

Alright, after much complaining from my wrists and lower back, I am making the change to low-rise superbike bars.
(Oh! And wifey will be more willing to ride the bike with slightly higher bars.)

Turns out it'll look a tiny little bit more like a tracker rather than a cafe racer.
(Good think I kept those risers!)

Happy to hear you're out spinning around on that thing. Haha superbike bars have been the trend with recently finished builds lately...

The clips-ons look so fantastic though.
I just can't justify keeping them on whilst all I am doing is putting around in town.

Hopefully the higher bars will help with the comfort level and reduce vibrations.

(Sorry for the low res picture, I'll take some with my DSLR later.)

It rides completely different, in a good way! Running around town is a blast now! I love it. And it's so much more comfortable!
