Some dumbass rivited a bunch of plates together for the back seat, the sun visors are also license plates. I just took everything the guy had, I've started sorting through it all and found a lot of nice parts. A new unmounted transmission raise kit, handful of new gages, switches, extra rebuilt transmission. Have spare doors, body is really good. I've seen a lot of these with rusted out floor pans and heater channels, but this is in really good shape. Already got it titled in my wife's name. and put a big red bow on it for Christmas.

I'm not new to VWs, but definitely new to Beetles. Got a lot of planning to do.

I know a guy that may have a use for those license plates....

Finally got my hands on one of these for a good price! Decent dent in the top and about 1/8" of paint layers.

Got mine on the way as well. 8)

The bikes have taken a back seat as I try to get my shop in order. (Insulating, new windows, heat, redoing wiring, running air, etc.). Would be straight forward if my shop wasn't built out of 12-20 inch logs. Looks nice but makes updated a huge pain. But, airtight wood stove should be operational this week, and although I've been looking for a nice used Quincy or similar compressor, it seems everyone here wants crazy money for them. So, it's not the best but I grabbed it brand new for 700. Should do the trick :)

Winter project. 98 Magna I went 4.5 hours one way to get, will be for my boss, bike has 8700 original miles and was stored for half it's life in the living room of the second owner before he passed and it was sold. Home on table and he is coming by tonight to discuss what we are going to do. He wants it mean an lean so it should be fun. I couldn't ride it because there was a foot of snow on the ground but the engine purred, nothing like a VFR750 motor tuned for torque with a 10K redline in a cruiser frame.

Foot of snow on the ground?? Those roads look pretty darn clear and dry to me. Man up there and go test ride it.

Hello all. This is my first post. I'm rebuilding a 70' cl70. Anyone know where to get some new front shocks?

You can check the "selling" or "buying" sections of the forum.

Good to see the new-to-you CRV putting in work.

Or just rebuild your old ones.........

Not re-buildable, horrid little things. You can still get new ones though which would be the best thing to do.
Same as 50 and 90 although Honda changed part numbers ::)

What you can't see in the pics is the road covered in salt and slush, the parking lot of the gas station was clear but no fun riding around in circles there. It is going to be 10 c tomorrow here so if I can get a buddy to help with unloading it from the table I will take it for a rip! If not, I'll have to wait. I have already started the tear down for paint and polish but not far enough to not be able to ride it. The more crap I wipe off the more I can believe the mileage, this thing has the original chain and the sprockets have 0 wear and the chain has never been adjusted. It was ridden very little and not very hard at all.
