I like how you can still balance a stubbie whilst asleep. You sure your not part Aussie?

Canadians and Aussies know how to drink till they pass out without spilling their drink for when they wake back up, I woke up and finished that beer, with ice in my crotch thanks to Justin(sonic) I believe. And remember I had ridden about 900 miles that day too.

My dad, who happens to be Canadian, could do all that and even fall down the stairs without spilling his beer.

1, just bought a bottle last week. :)

Rebound springs for the XL350. PO decided at some point they weren't necessary...

I wasn't happy with the looseness and voltage drop of my ignition switch, so I replaced it and all the other locks.

Also, to increase reliability, time for the nearly 40 year old fuse box to go:

The blade fuses are more reliable and now easier to find then the original metric fuses.

^^^^^^ i remmeber years ago i was hauled out of the back of a car blind drunk by the cops who refused to believe i wasn't going to drive and took my keys ( i couldn't actually even drive a car at that point....), they wouldn't tell me what station they were from so i never found those keys when i sobered up a couple of days later

unfortunately my GS750 keys were on that bunch and i didn't have spares, i ended up getting hold of an early CB750 ignition lock (how different could they be,....)
the only way i could get it to work on the GS was with the lights on, if you turned the h/light off, the ignition went with it.....

this seemed like a sign to me and the bike was sold very soon after that, unfortunately for the new owner the reg/rec unit packed up a day after he bought it (10/10 warranty - 10 minutes/10 yards)
i did get it running again for him and pointed him in the general direction of someone who had some idea of how to keep it going (never did find out if he made it round australia....) and used the money to buy a GS850G (and if that ain't karma i don't know what is)

Started talked to an older guy a few weeks ago and he said that he had some old SOHC CB750 stuff from when he used to race.
Said he couldnt remember much about what was still left, but knew he had a special cylinder with RC cast into it, and webers.
That was all I needed to hear!

Grabbed the stuff yesterday.

RC Swing arm. Seems straight.

Head. Didnt look to hard at it. Seems to have HUGE ports and aftermarket retainers. Need to measure the valves to see what size. Needs a rebuild for sure.

Failed to get a picture of the near new GoldenRods!

Seems like this must have been on heck of a motor back in the day.

Lazy shock mounts, a fist full 99cent honey Jack mini's to sip and wash metal dust down while I sweep the shop and the lighter for effect. Guess I'm going eye to eye can't wait to paint any longer.
