Post a pic of your latest purchase

Only to an extent, and it also depends on your surface. There's a reason tractor tires are narrow (and it isn't only so they don't run crops over).
Tractor tires are narrow so they can go through mud and to maximize your till. When you're going in a circle you want wider tires. Rubber has an increasing spring rate. So when barreling around a turn, the rubber actually stiffens.

the point is he is not going fast enough to use that wide a tire
it wont work right takes pressure speed and heat to make those tires work

It's pretty much one of the only tires left that are easy to find for flat track. Most of the old Pirelli's and other tires you can't find any more.
Not to mention the size I bought is the SMALLEST size available in a 19"

Just My Opinion... Good in the duff inside outside line, run the blue and high side in the backside when she front wallers and hooks Haaah  I don't know, just seems wrong to have a 7" tire on a rim that narrow.

No tires here. Just new 4 link bars, speedo cable and timing belt for the ol fiat spider.

Box 1 of 2. Assorted RD350 goodies from Bradj.

Dang nice inside for 35+ years, the bike had to be a low mile garage queen. 100/40's in and the old set has 105/40's someone was in at least one time, the jets all have file notches for 2,3,and 4 barely can see em but I need a mag glass to read sizes so I spotted them easy :-\

Check out McMaster Carr for a belt for that sander. Get the zirconia alumina, they cut metal like crazy and last a long, long time.

A little family swapping-
My little bro just graduated college and he's been pining for a truck for a while. My wife drives a little Scion xA. Since we had the second kid in November, she's been pining for an SUV. Meanwhile, I've been pining for my old man's 79 Chevy sleeper.

My bro gets my 2005 Ram with 145k miles. My wife gets his 1999 loaded Grand Cherokee with 140k miles. I get the Chevy truck and the Scion. The truck has 5k on a 350 motor and a higher torque cam with a fresh hydrometric tranny from a 1978 Chevy van. It's not a dollar for dollar trade, but one that gives everyone stuff they want. And I sort of get my little bro a graduation present.

A wider tire will give you more grip. I think that's what he was going for. Whether side wall or weight will be an issue, that's something else. But, I'm pretty sure he's looking for grip.

Not on the wrong rim it wont.
If you check the chart you'll see tyre gets narrower (but taller) as rim width gets smaller

I was referring to the increasing spring rate of rubber and what he was trying to do, not whether it was the right fit. It was a response to the accusation that he was going for a look. You have to see the conversation as a whole.

;D

It is a hole?
A&A racing used 20psi and physically measured the tyre width, they don't say it's good or bad to fit them.
If your racing and know what your doing there may be a reason to fit a slightly wider tyre, in this case though, the bike doesn't have enough 'go' to use too much grip when leanred over on a dirt track
