This was from a friend but thankfully I live in an area where there are plenty old gems kicking around. I have lots to pick from but this one has a toast chassis so I don't mind pulling parts off it.

Anyone ever cut and weld a clevis to a set before? Any reason why I can't do this? If so they go on the CM, as it is closest to being on the road. If not, I'm sure the GS550 would mind the upgrade either. First set of aftermarket shocks I've ridden on, excited to feel the difference in the twisties

Don't remember specifics, but had a few peeps tell me it was a bad thing when I had the same deal happen. XB rebuilds them, he was one of them to give me the lowdown. I converted my swingarm copying the design from my XL...

Seems like a better alternative. Much appreciated.

I'll mock it up and let my girls dad (former machinist of 20 years), weld for me. I'm still getting the hang of it, more weight bearing weld jobs get handed over to him until I feel confident.
