With shows on TV like Gas Monkey Garage, and others, you'd think they would want 10 or 11 grand.

Great score for 100 bux.

Brings back memories of being able to pick up projects for a 100 bux or a so.

This was from a friend but thankfully I live in an area where there are plenty old gems kicking around. I have lots to pick from but this one has a toast chassis so I don't mind pulling parts off it.

$115 to my door.

Anyone ever cut and weld a clevis to a set before? Any reason why I can't do this? If so they go on the CM, as it is closest to being on the road. If not, I'm sure the GS550 would mind the upgrade either. First set of aftermarket shocks I've ridden on, excited to feel the difference in the twisties :)

May be better off welding new mounts to the swinger.

Don't remember specifics, but had a few peeps tell me it was a bad thing when I had the same deal happen. XB rebuilds them, he was one of them to give me the lowdown. I converted my swingarm copying the design from my XL...

Seems like a better alternative. Much appreciated.

I'll mock it up and let my girls dad (former machinist of 20 years), weld for me. I'm still getting the hang of it, more weight bearing weld jobs get handed over to him until I feel confident.
