Don't want to burst your bubble BUT those clip ons are seriously weak, they snap like a twig.......dont ask me how I know. You may want to get something of a better quality.
That top triple is looking good though!

Thanx. No bubbles here to burst. Will keep a very close eye on them.

AND, specifically, where did yours break? That would be pretty good to know so I'd appreciate that info.

Sure thing
bike was knocked over against a wooden fence about 1 foot away by some a$$hole and this was the result.

The joint is extremely weak because its made of some seriously crappy "aluminum"

I didn't want to ruin anything for you, just wanted you to know what you were getting into with those clip ons

Thats what I thought too....what would have happened if I was riding
Keep the build rolling dude

Brendon's broke at the same place.
The clamp to fork leg seems plenty strong enough but the end where bar fits is brittle

MOHR STUFF! some carbs for what IDK maybe options and schocks to hold upthe CB until I break down and pay XB's price for good shit.

I've been thinking about why the Chinese bars break but the clamps are OK.
Only thing I can come up with is the bars are anodized as one piece after being pressed together and the clamp is anodized seperately.
Possibility that acid etch or something gets trapped in the assemble (chamfer, etc) and causes stub that bar is pressed onto to get brittle?

Alex, I have a set of Torq Thrust II's that I'd let go for real cheap if you're interested.

1969 Yamaha CT1 175cc. Poking around CL for some friends in PHX (and I occasionally buy stuff there and bring it back east), when I stumbled on this. CL add still up: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/mcy/5019079556.html Yep, he was asking $500. I emailed him to see if it was still available, and he said yes, and if I showed up that day he would drop the price to $300. I didn't even have to haggle! Got a girl friend to go pick it up, long story short she and another girl friend wanted it. I told them I was gonna make a fortune out here fixing it up, but they gave me $400 and paid the $300 for the bike so... they've got a new project. It's in amazing shape, engine isn't stuck, has a title...

Found this at Menard's. It's a fairly dense foam, 14.25" X 13.25" and 1.5". I'm thinking it is going to be a pretty good base for a seat pad. If not it will have been a $4.99 experiment.

Bought this in hopes of using some parts from it, like the swingarm, on my CB100. Won't fit.

Or maybe put in a 350 twin engine, that I've been experimenting on for rebuilding, (couldn't pass up the good deal for it) in, but sh1t, it won't fit in there either.

So looks like I might be able to use the rear wheel, so I can have 18's front and rear on the CB100.

big mistake putting heavier wheels and tires on a lil 100 you will jus make it a lot slower than it already is

Final pieces of the off-grid puzzle. Wired it up for 9 panels, but doing it in 3 panel phases to see just how many I might actually need. Hoping to stick with 3 for now.
