Well, that's a bummer. In the end I got a $300+ pair of riding jeans for $60 shipped though so...

Interesting letter from the owner to one of his customers I presume. Sounds like you got in while the gettings good.

Late night drunken bid on Evilbay at starting price ....
Nice leading link forks and 16" alloy rims.

Now to trek across to the other side of the country to collect it.

That thing would be an awesome track support vehicle... I see Asterisk Racer support adding a reverse seat/gurney to that thing for hauling broken riders off the track where the Gators wont go!

It's in Kent on the far east of the UK and I'm in Somerset on the west side. It will be a 400 mile round trip. I know thats just a jaunt to the shops for some of you guys, but its a long way on a small island.
Grass track outfits are pretty ugly to say the least, however with the rear subframe lowered and if I can squeeze on 135/15 car tyres it could be a fun tarmac outfit. In total overall size it's pretty much the same as my trials rig.

I get the feeling you may need to make some engineering drawing of that fork ;)
What motor fits it, looks like designed for something small or pre-unit Triumph?

Picked up a motor for pops car.
Honda ST1100 V4 Shafty. Still need a motor for the second. I want a Busa motor for it.

Water cooled RD head conversions cut with a toroidal chamber. Interesting. I have not seen much dyno data on that head shape. The idea is that the fire is lit closer to the center of the (hemi) sphere. The flip side is that it increases the ratio of surface area: volume and that increases heat flow outwards and reduces combustion efficiency. No such thing as a free lunch but I like the idea.

Those look a lot like the Nissin I bought hoping to use on one of my bikes. If you ever need another set...

Hoping to pick it up tomorrow as the weather forecast is too crap to be getting on with anything else. Borrowing a mates berlingo van as it should just fit in and save hauling a trailer all that way. Will get photos of the front end and if it looks useful I'll get them drawn up for you. I don't know how well the seller knew the builder but I will try to find out what the intentions had been engine wise.

I'm getting 'old', may need something to drag mobility scooter around in a couple of years ;)

Will this be a different bike or will it be parts for yours?

Nice score either way.

This will be a new project, my trials rig is pretty much spot on now. This will satiate my need to build a kneeler for Tarmac

I don't know much about combustion head designs, but I trust Scott Clough to do what he thinks will work well. I think I am going to run them on a RD400 Dirt Tracker, not a street bike, but an actual Flat Track racer.

Couple goodies I picked up over the weekend.

17" Fox Air Shocks for my HL500 ;D ;D

1973 CR250M With the lowest VIN I have seen 8) She came with 2" of dust all over her.

At the car wash. '78 YZ400 parts bike behind the Elsinore.

The tank is in incredible shape, and the bike cleans up nicely.

Lastly found a low pipe for my DT1 Flat Tracker
