Honda used 3 different manufacturers for points/advancers.
More likely, someone fitted a CB350 or 450 unit?
Post a pic of the two different styles, maybe a 350/450 owner can tell?
Just about every 360 I've seen has a Denso unit
ND goes to full advance earlier although there really isn't much difference as the TEC has slightly lighter springs to compensate for lighter bobweights
Have been busy moving this weekend so not a lot of work has been done on the bike. I did however get my NOS timing chain adjuster guide and my used timing chain slider. I will be giving my slider to my friend and he will try to make something to replace it. I will post what he comes up with.
Im thinking about wrapping my rear fairing with leather and making a separate leather seat for it. I think it would look good.
The CB seams to be coming along good man. Hope i can get something put together and ride with you in the spring. i guess i could always rid the CBR if its not sold by then.
trying to get back in it, need to work on the seat and tank. Slacking on the wheels, not sure what route to go with those. It's getting pretty nice out, I should probably get the Suzuki out and brush the dust off it. Let me know if you get in town!
Sorry, I had a friend come in from Chicago so most of my time went to entertaining him. However I did make some more progress on the wheels.
Last weekend I boiled the front and rear hubs in lemon juice for 30min to clean the dirt and crud off of them. Then hit them with some ultra fine sandpaper to bring back that factory shine. I really don't enjoy doing cosmetic stuff on bikes or cars. So this is the most stressful part of the build for me. Which is also why I do not have a finished seat, or tank.
Anyway, boiling in lemon juice.
All clean after being in there for 30min.
Then I laced up my wheels to the hubs. This was easier than I thought. There is a pretty good tutorial on youtube showing how to do that. Then took them to get trued.
I got my Avon Roadriders in the mail friday. I'm still waiting on the tubes to arrive. Once I get these wheels all set then I can start putting the bike back together.
The engine is already in the garage waiting for me to bring the rest of the bike up from the basement.
