Sakura the Sake Rocket

I have a small pile but I use them elsewhere for my goofy robot crap.
Really, take a look at a stainless water bottle. If it'll help I'll make you a clamp for it for cost of material and shipping.

Thanks brother, I'm sure I can whittle something up as well. I have an idea for a clamp I just need to find a bottle that will work.

Not much progress in truth, loads on the plate these days.
However I dig take the opportunity to take the little yellow tank to my pal Andrew from Little Horse Customs. He's a helluva a fabricator and builder in his own right and a whiz at shaping sheetmetal. He's going to 'round out' the bottom of the tank as it's got a really agricultural weld along the bottom, as this was really a cheapo tank from a cheapo department store mini-bike. I kinda gave him free reign on that as I'm NOT a sheetmetal guy though I intend to invest some time on it eventually.

He's also adding some threaded inserts for something extra spiffy that I've picking away at in my now very limited free time. It's been done before often enough and has roots in racing and early bikes all the way back to the teens and twenties. I AM being careful though as I don't want it to drift into a caricature or silly theme bike.....but, this one has enough visual impact and will especially when it's ready to unveil.

Let me simply say that things just got interesting....

That is, to my best knowledge a regular old 50's tool calendar shot.
Whomever she is, she was a stunner back then and someone's sweet old great grandma now.

They don't make them like that any more! Shame ;)

Lol Ill say a stunner then! Id like to see her now. Maybe even help her buy groceries or play shuffle board with her... Get some things off high shelves for her.. Get her granddaughters number.. Then return her back to the nursing home all safe at sound at a respectful 8pm..

HAHA! I've been going to an old folks home near the shop a couple times a month to help out, read to them, stuff like that. The old men are pretty ambivalent about the bikes for the most part unless they were REALLY into them. The old ladies though, a few perk right up and smile when I tell them about mine. One lady, Miss Emily, offers me a cookie for a story. I'm sure it's just for the company but whatever....

The elderly are entertaining. Any chance i get to listen about war stories and such i do as much as possible because i know eventually im not gonna be able to. Plus anything old fascinates me anyways lol. If these bikes we toy with werent around in the 50s-80s and came out more recent, do you think i would be on this site? not a chance lol

........don't mind me, I'm just here to knock the dust off and sweep up a bit. It's been a long ugly road but I thought I'd peek in and see what's what round these parts.

+1

Looking forward to seeing you back at this girl, Lee.

+1, I check Big Pointy Teeth almost everyday on my rss feeder...

Yep and yep! I will be resurrecting the blog likely sometime around the middle of the month, I have had several feature ideas and still have some nice....ummm.....monitor decoration that really must be shared so it's definitely on. I still haven't got a PC set up yet but will be getting that fixed this week I hope. I can't use a laptop(hands too big) and doing anything serious online with my phone is just miserable so I definitely need a more suitable interface. To put it into perspective....I'm using a borrowed laptop and it's taken me roughly 10 minutes to post this as I keep mashing keys.

This is justy toio hard to uswe woitjhout backl trackcoiiung to clean shit up....haha
