thanks mate. its getting there, just need to rewire the headlight now.
ive got indicators on it some of the photos a bit further up the page show them, ive under slung them in front of the forks.

Was just trying to do a diagram of my led idiot lights circuit if yo U wanted to get rid of idiot light cluster guage. It is harder to draw diagram than do the wiring . LEDs are jay car catalogue numbers sl2613(blue). Sl 2610(red). Sl2612(green).
Other parts required are 2x 1n2001 diodes, 2x 330ohm resistors and 1x 600ohm resistor . Aprox$11 of parts or less.

thanks , my brothers a HAM radio guyand knows someone , who can get it though jaycars commercial site. even cheaper :)
i got some 12 volt leds from flea bay but the legs are really weak and snapping off.
i wouldnt mind finding some old school panel lights..

Electus would be cheAper. If you do the led thing , the leads are flimsy. Tell your brother to string a current limiting resistor from ground to the negative lead of indicator led and two diodes from the positive lead with the bars to the led between led and each original feed wires orange and blue. The other two are easy to hook up.. If you don't add diodes the indicator led only flashes in one direction

cool thanks for that, good to know :)

Re: Skyteam Ace 125

I was looking at that as well, but in the end I bought a new speedo from eBay that included the 3 LED's. Was only $25 or so, saved the headache of custom wiring some leds

reverted back to the stock speedo and idiot lights , made a new dash out of Polypropylene and mounted itlower inside the fairing, stacked one over the other, that way i didnt have to mess with stock loom at all.

Simple solution, and tidy enough!

Crazy

thanks mate.

i also redid the back end as well , ditching the stock brake light and fender and installing a integrated tail piece and brake light.

took the bike for a shake down after the work i did to the front and rear, nothing flew off or burst into flames so its all good.
just some more shots from the rear end work
the round "light" in the seat unit is actually a reflector.

same tail light set up as me..nice job..i used some core flute to fill in the gap between the two guards..only just lights up my number plate but brake light / parker works well

yeah the numberplate light is crap, i might have to get some from ebay yet.
and ive got a reflector and brake light all in one to go on the seat unit where the reflector is when it gets here.
