Suzuki GR650 - back to work...

Thanks man! It's heading to Brad's tomorrow to get some welding done. Should be making some good progress here on out ......

And when that picture was taken, Meagan said "I wanted to get a picture of the first and LAST time he's on a bike." Boy, she's going to be disappointed ..... :)

Maybe sew some magnets into his shirt and make a magnetic tank bag out of him.......

No, I shouldn't even joke about that. :)

I am assuming this is a joke, but it is on the Aerostitch website--out of stock. http://www.aerostich.com/aerostich-magnetic-baby-onsie.html

Hey Rich, I may still have the harness I used when William was 4 to hold him on the bike. I used a set of clamp on pegs for his feet to sit on and a backrest as extra support and we road all over ;D now he is a seasoned rider and needs nothing but his gear. Meg will not get out one of your guns and shoot me.

Cheers

Oh man.....that is too funny. To us, anyway..... :D

Update on the bike later today or tomorrow!

Ok, as I said earlier I went to Maryland yesterday to meet up with Bradj. He did some welding on the rear end of the frame for me.

I'll get some more detailed pics later, but here is the GR once I got home:

Ah, the curse of the GR650 ...... such a silly name.

So here is a picture of Brad's handiwork :

And the tabs he welded on for the seat lock and a helmet lock:

Speaking of locks - I picked up an entire set recently (ignition, gas cap, helmet, and seat locks). Included 2 original keys as well:

I've been working on the seat a little recently as well. Hopefully some progress pics soon......

It will be used as a seat support, tail light mount, and a place to put some electronics.

You have done a tremendus job on this bike, your influence is somewhat mainsteam,...,...until you cut off that ugly rear subframe, make it personal...just a hint

Thanks man. I actually get that alot....

But no worries on the tail section. Once I have the rest of the bike done, you'll forget all about the seat subframe.
