Today I learned...

+1 to DesmoBro's license plate art. I got one for Kiley's garage in 2012 and one for myself last year. Awesome pieces - hoping some birds take up residence.

I just pm'd him, My mother in law is a huge fan of both birds and NH so this should be a perfect birthday gift.

Today I learned that other DTT folks appreciate Desmo's rad birdhouses.

I have that he made for me last year. The numbers/letters on the main plate are "FZR 400"

Today I learned I have saved enough materials for approx 50 birdhouses.... Kept all my plates from 1976 onto present day.

Graves Metal, Shelbyville TN.

Somehow I don't think thats helpful :-[

Today (last week) I learned that you shouldn't go out for a big mexican lunch while you're sitting on a jury. The after lunch session had my stomach feeling the pain.

That when the girlfriend says "I am planning on keeping my car stock" It really means. I will be pulled away from my current projects to work on her car. Her car that is no longer going to be anywhere close to stock...

Today I learned that when your business is in decline and your Fiscal year starts in April, March is a rough month.

Walked a few close friends out the door today... rough one.

I'm still employed, though... so there's that.

Sorry to hear it, bro. Been on both sides of that coin. It never gets easy.

Apparently a new t12 ballast is significantly more expensive than a new t12 lamp

You can thank EPACT for that. They're fazing them out, at least the T12 magnetic ballast types. It's a tax write off to change them out to T8 or T5, although most of us non-business types aren't outfitting enough to worry about that.

I more recently learned that if I whine about my lamp on the Internet it will magically start working. Expect to hear me complaining about how my kids won't do their damn homework

Try playing drums on them with pencils until they agree to do it. Works for me.
