Triton/Norvin inspired homebuilt project

Re: Triton/Norvin inspired homebuilt project

You must piss pure excellence. My only complaint with this build is the lack of daily updates.

Yeah, thanx for the 'interesting' compliment & sadly life tends to get in the way of progress/regular updates but do keep checking back as progress is progressing....watch this space.......

Burt Munro, John Britten, Eurodave all from the south lands what the hell is in the water down there, I got older in the Manawatu and only got half strength I think top work Dave, hope your pulling out of the earthquake(s) ok....

Hi eurodave, I have worked both briggs and kohler V-twins for a friend of mine who races lawn mowers and I am building a turbocharged liquid cooled 1000cc briggs to power a Harley Electra Glide with 6 speed Harley Transmission .2nd Build A 1936 Harley Davidson EL replica (1936 Harley EL=new parts) with powered by 1000cc Air cooled Briggs V-twin with worked heads ,Free flow intake and Higher compression of 10.5:1 (70hp at crank) and 3rd build is Ridley Autoglide who uses Kohler CH750 V-twin from factory. In this build we are installing stroker crank to raise displacement to 1000cc and also adding Tiny IHI turbo.

EURODAVE YOU HAVE DONE A PHENOMINAL JOB TO CREAT A PHENOMINAL BUILD/BIKE. PLEASE...USE FORGED PISTONS AND TITANIUM CONNECTING RODS . I HAVE SEEN ROUGHLY 10 KOHLER/BRIGGS ENGINES HOLE PISTONS AND/OR SNAP RODS IMMEADIATLY AFTER SUPERCHARGING/TURBOCHARGING. ONCE YOU HAVE INSTALLED FORGED PISTONS TITANIUM RODS YOU HAVE A DEPENDABLE, SMOOTH, POWERFULL V-TWIN WITH ..A TON.. OF BOTTOM END GRUNT.
EURODAVE I SENT YOU A PM OF SUPPLIERS OF KOHLER PERFORMANCE PARTS. tAKE CARE jAKE

Ps..TOO ALL.. Briggs & Stratton/Kohler V-Twins(and big 500cc singles) with forged pistons/rods are a good inexpensive power source for builds JUST REMEBER , Briggs/Kohler engines are inexpensive due to the use of low grade metal. They are reliable up to 100-115hp.
At 125hp+ you run a risk of the actual block splitting/cracking. They are great for Standard and Cruising bikes but not a good choice for Sportbikes/Race bikes.

Well Dave. You managed to humble me today, not to mention steal a couple of hours as I read the build from start to here. Where is it at? You have piqued the curiosity. When will we see you and Lois again?
