ha ha ha everyone that has seen them has said that... it is a NO go on the fish tails ha ha ha...i am doing some mock ups wiht all the mufflers i have in the shop now... we will see what ones look best... maybe even a 2-1 with a cherry bomb would be sick

I like the top better, the tails are too Harley-ish to me. How about some megaphones?

Unless you were going to do something radical like some street fighter, I really think that something close to the stock pipe would be the best. Somewhat "upswept", but not too much. Just my opinion. Megaphones are more for the 80's cruiser look, to me. The 70's look is what is doing it for me on this build.

AUTO i 100% agree with you! 100%, keeping the stock semi agressive look is what i am going to try and do, think i was trying to do to much, got to KISS (keep it simple stupid)

TOM HELL'S ya they will! i am using them on my CB350 build, they are in the parts box already!!! thanks again man... on this one i have a set of brass v stacks coming from Canuck Plumber... thanks again brother they will be a nice addition to the build!

ya... they suck... i just got to figure something out diffrent, CHEAP, and i can use my stock HD mufflers... i found a set of older sporty stock mufflers off a custom i think. they are a bit smaller and have brackets that work out perfect.... i am going to use the stock headers (kind of have to they are oval ports) run that down. then i have to figure out a way to get around the rear sets i am making for it... ill post some pics of the rear sets, headers, and mufflers tomorrow... I am all for ideas. local muffler shop will hook me up wiht bent pipe and welds.... what i was thinking is running some of the flexable style pipe tubing (like the old school FLH used to have) bend that into the middle up though the frame and out, under the seat bu along the side, then come out with them from behind the back of the bike in front of the rear wheel on a bit of an angle?

F'n love this bike! no idea who built it but i would give him a high 5! this is what i am talking about on my exhaust!... those are 1 in bars, look at the risers even, so many clasic nastalgic harley pars, but still new technoligy just SLAMMED INTO IT!!! i would sell my bob for htis bike

Here are some Triumph replacement mufflers that look very similar to stock. http://tinyurl.com/9vcxyj

This was built by Jessie James' old chassis designer. He split off after building the red VTX cafe thinking to start his own gig. AmericanCafe or something. Didn't pan out but the bike IS sweet.

I would love to do a V-twin cafe. I even started prowling around on Ebay for early Sportsters. They can actually be had pretty reasonable. It's probably the only way I would ride a twin, just not a cruiser guy.

Tom ride a buell, that will change your mind about twins forever, well that and ducuti.... anyway, got the rear set on, here is how i am going to do it, took apart a stock GSXR rear set and basicly just fliped it, so that the brace bracket was backwards, then i bored the hole a bit so it woudl fit the ped on the frame, as the 2nd mounting point i am using the brackets that i will not be using on my guages, works great! swap the pegs from L to the R, so that the grip on the ped is up... DONE AND DONE! super easy way to do it... did not put the other one on cause they all need to be powder coated first, going to match the frame on the braces, trim off the stock GSXR guard mounting point, then make some linkage to be able to shift and brake!

I am sure you still have a list a mile long, but from here it's really starting to feel like a bike. Are you using the old wiring, or are you starting from scratch? Btw, a Ducati is the next thing going in the stable, going to do some track days this summer.

steve johnson on here is goign to set up my wring harness... it will be ready to go! slap in some wires, lots of powder still, oil cooler, finish seat, rear brake lights, paint (again), tune it all in, then RIP the hell out of it!
