TX500 build

thanks man! ya man, i have the all black bike... man i tell you every time i pull up to a bar now EVERY bike is all black, i hate it... i like my bike to stand out. Now with SOA it is going to get worse... i have completely taken my bob apart motor and all doing high gloss black... i love this bike and will keep it forever, just do not like all the "bolt on mods" that people do or when they say they have customized their bike... BOLTING ON A PART IS NOT CUSTOM.... either is signing a check! grease under you nails shows you have done custom work, not when you balance your check book!

see my bob.... murdered

boom i got a bunch of toys man... when you roll with us in the spring you will see alot of cool bikes either i have built or my buddies and i have built... our moto... "no one wants to rock a stocker... MOD IT OUT"

ok... long night, drunk a bit... ok well more than a bit... well for the past 3 weeks i have been calling over and over to my buddy that borrowed my bike table for a project he was working on... no call back, well tonight i went to his house.... YOU GUESSED IT! he does not live there any more! no answer or nothing... what a dick move, Danny Jackson i know you follow the forums and ride buddy if i run into you i am going to lay a serious hurting down bud... you dont steal man... hell if you would have told me you NEEEEDED it hell i would haev prob gave it to you... so lame, dick move.... anyway. the girl told me to go buy a new one... with the wedding and hunnymooon coming up i simply can not afford to do that... so being true to the nick name i have aquired... i megiver'd it up... ladies and gents my FREE table... i figure you could build this for about 15 bucks if you needed to... here is what i did
went to the local walgreens... sweet talked the mgr and she gave me 5 milk crates... from there i went to dads house, i recently built him a trailer that would allow him to bring his Harley and his Jet ski to his summer get away in marco island... still had a 3/4 sheet of ply... i cut that to be 2.5 ft wide... with the excess i cut 2.5 sections... then i dug though his bolt collection till i found 10 bolts that matched (round lags) 10 washers, and 10 nuts... then i cut 5 strips from some extra wood we had laying around... now assembly... drilled 2 holes in each strip i cut, then mounted the milk crates to the smaller sections i cut... after i got all those done i simply bolted it all together at home... tossed one of the 15 wheel chucks i have (we take a ton of bike to FL ever year so i ahve a ton) added some mounting points for straps and BOOM.. i gots a table!

DJ you better pray i never find you!

That table looks great. Even better with that bike on her. Once I get into my build (which I hope will be real soon) I'm gonna have me one of those! Man I feel sorry for that dude. Like you said, "What a dick move!". Maybe he is in jail or something. Atleast he might be wishing he were in jail. By the way, I really like your wheels. I wasn't digging them before, but now I really like them. I will be doing the same thing to my wheels. Thanks a lot! ;D Troy

That is one bad HD JRK. I love the black look. Here is a pic of my previous ride, a 2005 V-Rod and my present ride, a 2009 Street Glide. I am in the process of doing some components black but with my current "cafe" build, I only have enough budget for one project, lol.

Those are some cool lookin' bikes! Joe, that table is cool. I need something like that to do my motor work. Did you just manhandle the bike up on the table or roll it up?

i have a ramp for my trailer, used that and rolled it right up... that V rod is SICK man... just sick one of my Fav HD's the only one they seem to let technoligy actualy grow in... i am a huge fan of the st glide, few of my buddies have them, just did a HUGE 21 spoke on the front of one of them, looks sick.... a buddy of mine powdered his stock wheels high gloss black and then polished each little cut inside the stock mag, looks insane, like a completely custom wheel... took him like a week to do but it was well worth it... ill try and snap you a few pics, was planning on buying a st glide soon but now i think i am going to get an early 90's wing and fiber glass my own bags to look like the victory vision... the girl wants something that we can just get on and disapear for a week at a time... sometimes she likes to leave hers in the garage and hop on back with me... DIG the v rod though man one of my fav!

ok... talked to some of my powder buddies... was showing them the bike and they told me to powder that swing arm... so i am... clear, ultra clear, she showed me some pieces that he did and you could not even tell it was on there... i guess polished alum does not loose the bling like chrome powder does when you clear it... so... ahhhh working backwards now... NOT COOL! but as was always stated...
DO IT RIGHT, DO IT ONCE!

man, got some help today.. the fience tossed on some scrubs, and came out to help clean up the garage... of course the heat was BLASTING... and i now need to pay for her nails to get redone ha ha ha but WE got a TON done, was able to go up a level on the table, also got my good chuck on it (harbor freight sells this, it rocks, no straps needed. skinny tires still need strapped and i still strap when i am not right on it but great chuck) then she helped me chean... man 5 hours we cleaned, not where i want it to be yet but almost... once it is clean i will be able to pound though reassembly... ooh ya, swing arm is cleared... no difference in appearance at all... pretty cool (ultra clear powder)
here are a few shots of the table now, it is the perfect height and solid as a rock... had the bike AND over 400 pounds on it all at the same time, solid as a rock... i drilled holes in the crates and threaded zip ties though... nice thing about htis sucker... i can completely take it apart and stack it all in the corner when I am done... and in about 5 min! nice....
thanks for your help Maria... i know you are going to check this later to see if you got your shot out...

Supports: (total of 10 crates, cost: $0)

I'd be interested how you mount up the stock HD mufflers and how your mc operates. Can't wait to see the final project, its going to rock. Keep the info coming, getting lots of tips to continue my build.

J, you are well down the road to having one of this sites classic builds. I suggest you quit your job, buy a case of Ramen noodles and lock yourself in the garage until it's done. (just kidding, we are just all wanting to see it done) I may be up that way in a couple months, and would love to see it rolling. BTW, where did those clocks come from?

clocks are from EBAY, here is the seller: http://stores.ebay.com/Cycle-Exchange
the mufflers i am going to hand with a T bracket used for construction that i will powder coat so it looks trick... i am not sure what an MC is?
some day i will quit my job and do bikes full time, till i can afford to buy the rest of my equipt i will keep the day gig!

cant wait to see this one in the show n' shine forum!

are you planning to paint the vents on the side covers? black... bronze? I think itd be sexy, my $.02 ;D

I am going to cut them out, then make my own screens for them... i have done it on rockets in the past, but yest they will be bronze to match the frame as well...
to make screen vents it is super easy. ill try and knock those out soon but i do not want to do them till i finish the paint

awesome, do you think there will be problems with additional/variable airflow? I've ran into problems with similar air scoop design... like running pods at highway speed.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH HELL YA!!!! so, my rear sets are here, have to make some mounts... so i went into my buddies machine shop and looooky looooky what he just got in!!! a new EDM machine!!! oh yell ya!
i am going to have some graphite and copper plugs CNC'd by another friend so that i can use this EDM machine to do some CRAZY designs!!! I am PUMPED!!!
