Viet;
I am in the process of buying a Yamaha xs500. Do you have a set of rear sets for it? Also,when looking on E-bay I see your seat but no mention of the rear sets, are you only selling them through DTT?
Thank you,
Steve
Hi Steve,

To make a rear set rod which is compatible to XS500, I must have the bike in hand. It is hard as most XS500 is not available in Vietnam. I could do a set by your drawing with the same price or even for shipping cost if we could cooperate in making them.

Best regards
Viet

Could Viet or someone who has one of these confirm the size of the hole that the connecting linkage attaches to?

I am guessing 1/4 or close to that?

It is 6mm hole. it is approx 1/4 inch hole size.

Thanks! Gona see if I can get some linkage rods and ball ends ordered to be here in time for the rear sets. I'll post up the results.

I agree the toe peg looks and feels way too small. Maybe you can update in your second revision v.2.0 LOL Keep up the good work

I am new here, but not to building bikes, etc.
Without scrolling through all 15 pages (obviously a popular topic!), can you tell me if you have done a set for an XS 650 yet? Thanks!

Dear unclesol and others,

I have seen stock XS650, it is a nice bike (nice engine and frame) that I believe I should have one to make stuff for it.

In the meantime, could you do following measurement as follows (with these measure, I could do a rearset for you:

In addition, the rear set bolt is M10x1.5 so make sure the passenger peg mounting hole is 10mm.
This is the gearshift lever I made for my Cb350:

So, Viet, will all future rearsets have upgraded toe pegs? I actually have a buddy that will be in Saigon in a couple weeks. He will come by your shop to see you and pick up a set for me.

Hi Peace,
The price for DTT is $110 direct and not through ebay. Price on ebay is $120. The return and shipping condition is the same. If you want to go direct, please pm me your paypal email so I can invoice you.
Thanks,
Viet

Viet;
I am ready to order for my XS500 Yamaha. I'l PM my e-mail address and specifics on the lengths needed for the connecting rods. As others have mentioned we are pretty large over here and the heavier duty pedals may be needed.

Hi Rundown,
Let email me your detail measurement. Hope it will be the same with XS650.
Thanks

Just got a set in the mail today. 16 days shipping to Texas and they look great, They will be going on a 1975 cb550k. Hope to put them on in the next few days, time willing. I'll make a full report as I haven't seen any feedback from cb500/550 owners who bought these. I expect to be pleased.

Hi RUNDOWN,
With expectation that XS650 and XS500 has the same stock brake pedal and gear shift pedal, I could make a completely plug and play rear set for you but need your help to measure these 2 distances (as XS650 and XS500 should be different.

The set will including the linkage lever which attached to the current stock brake pedal shaft and stock gear shift lever shaft

Let me know

Thanks
