CONGRATULATIONS !!! :D i am confused does this bike get the dustbin ?
No. We used Lucky as an engine tester. We can break this motor in as we finish the 175 chassis or as Zeke said, "Dad can we work on the aesthetics now? Lol

Lucky's electronic were plug and play we just had to swap out the upper mount from the 175. We can also dial this engine in on the Dyno with Lucky with the superhawk carbs. Our drop dead date for Bostrom Brothers to ride WOT is September 16.

Pmp Spockets mailed us a 33 rear and we got the R1 Renthal 428 chain yesterday. We are shooting for the ton and some :)

You answered my question before I asked. I was wondering what the date was.

John Viviani got us the paint codes PPG paints. The mix code for the silver is 901513, for the red 74458 this is also a factory Honda color R110

Now for some crankcase ventilation...the thread pitch for the 175 oil filler hole is 25mm by 1.5 pitch

It took us 4 hours to install the rings..that bevel that should be at the bottom of the cylinder sleeves we elected not to put in because the sleeves were two thin to do so and that last little thin oil ring took the majority of that time.

I wasted 3 hour re degreeing the cam because I had the lash set at .006 not zero. Oh and it lined up perfectly on the mark we scribed the last time we degreed the cam. But we learned 12 degrees at the cam equals 24 degrees at the crank and if you set your lash for .006 it will advance your cam 12 degrees...useful information for the future.

Extra valve clearance makes the valve open later not earlier
so when our lash was set at .006 our valves were opening at 15 btdc and with no lash they opened earlier at 28 btdc?

Yep, you take up the clearance before valve starts to move
If you set at 28deg btdc zero clearance, with 0.006" clearance valve really opens at 15 deg which is a later opening (closer to TDC)

Thanks Crazypj for everything we really appreciate you!

We are running nice and rich for break in put the 150's mikuni jets in. Got rid of the castle nuts and re torqued the head waiting on the clutch cable since the 200 cable is different. We could rig up the 200 cable to work but I don't want to take any chance lugging the engineto under a load gonna hook up the temp gage and heat cycle the engine today.

That long reach plug came out of a 200 head yes? 160-175 have short reach plugs - just a reminder if or when you try other heads. That is def way rich.

I did indeed. It sounded good. 2 bikes and two people to start one bike - now that's overthinking things :)

I think you know me well :) however this was symbolic as a picture for my son someday how the old gives birth to the new...that a wise man listens to the wisdom that went before him. I also want to show the 3RM bike how it's done...just kiddin' JOON ya! Of course that was a 360! One of my smart arse friends said, "What are you gonna do haul another bike to start it?"
