Lucky for some ..... So what's next / left ?
Oh my God Simo! This is just the beginning! Just a side note my wife wants to move to New Zealand! What is next? Brakes are next, Ben with his dry sense of humor...the back brake wasn't hooked up! I hope we all have the sense of whimsical wonder as Michael 'Mercury' Morse at the age of 67. Ask him how he got his name. Holy Crankshaft that guy is a hoot. We have a fricken turbo charger on the dining room table. The only thing better than this forum is talking or meeting the "characters" in person. Buy that plane ticket and get you tail to the Barber Vintage Festival. I for one would contribute to the give Simo Jet Lag Fund. Zeke gets in the truck and the first thing out of his mouth is..."Colin Edwards Racing School would be a nice Christmas present don't you think?" I smiled and said,'"That's just what I want for Christmas!"

Patrick and Zeke came out to bike night wednesday and brought Victoria with them. After a short struggle (nearly out of race gas) they got her fired up. I have never heard such a small motor sound so throaty and mean! He invited me to take it for a ride, and being an opportunist, I quickly agreed and jumped aboard. I have to say, the position was much more reasonable than it appeared, and I was off without any fuss. The motor screamed up to redline almost instantly, as I fumbled to shift. I could not believe how quick this bike is, or how amazing it sounds. Hats off to you DTT members giving up your tuning secrets to Zeke and Partick, this really is an amazing bit of work. It's exceptionally light, nimble and revvy. The rear brake is a joke, and the front brake has some guts but needs tuning. I'm proud to have had a hand helping Zeke with the wheels and I'm way proud of his determination and rapid skill learning.
Ben did you notice the indentation for your chin in her fuel tank? She likes to be held close with her short skirts and log fairing. Cheers to your goading my friend! "Are you going to take her for a ride?" I would probably be in a Mexican Jail if we were friends in high school. "What are you not going to take her for a Victoria lap?" Lol i now fully understand how "Test Dummy" got its name...she has new shoes in the mail...

It's great fun, despite the lack of sleep.
What's behind your wife's desire for an NZ sea change?

Would you retard the timing initially when testing this fuel since it is 87 octane?

I (not having any race experience) would drill a small hole in the brake arm, but I know you're asking the RIGHT way to do it

if you are worried about it coming off, it won't, but you should just have threads showing, enough to cross drill it and put a cotter pin ,still allows you to adjust without undoing anything
