I was stunned the first time I rode a VFR, for it being a 750. I was even more stunned that the Magnas can roll like they do too. Not a fan of the high neck Magnas, but the VF/VFR's feel like the RPM's are linked solid to the throttle. No lag, punchy torque in any gear, but a bastard to service the carbs. The manual says something along the lines of "have faith, the carbs can be removed without lowering the engine, so we've been told." At this point I disconnect the plenum from the carbs and have 'em out or in in twenty minutes.
But customising a VT500, S90, MB5 or other quirky shit. Hmmm
