WV DTT Gathering July 21-25 @ Troybilts Who's Going?

Really wishing I could be there but I'll be sitting on the dock of my family cottage on those days, up closer to Fargo than anywhere else.
 
Not completely sure I'm riding anymore..it's a 3 hour ride, after work, racing the sunlight.

Either gonna find room on a trailer or just not bring it..sucks, but I would rather come no bike than not come at all.
 
I'll put in on the "Get Swagger to WV" fund!

And don't worry Aetsh, I'm sure we can work something out.

If I can get Friday off, it's a diff story, but if I work til 4 Friday, it's gonna be a stretch!

At the very least we can round up our pennys for a greyhound ticket lol, I wouldn't wish that on anyone tho.. I did little rock Arkansas to Youngstown Ohio twice. It sucks but gets the job done..

Shit! This meet up is looking better and better. It's about 6 hours for me so I'm thinking I might van a couple bikes out there with my boys. Was gonna do Mid-Ohio, but these seems more fun. Swagger, I'll pitch in for you too.
 
Whoa! Even better. Mid-Ohio is the 9-11 and The meet up is more like 4 hours away. Kick ass!
 
Shaun... If you get off at 4, you could be there by 8, NO PROBLEM. Its July, you have sunlight till 9:30. C'mon man!

Thanks for getting this thread going Maritime. Sorry I'm not around here much guys. I'm pretty busy with things on the farm this time of year. Anyhow, just to let everyone know we have plenty of room in the house. There are limited beds so if anyone has blow up matresses and room to bring em please do. There is also plenty of room for tents and such. If you like to fish we have a small stocked pond. Just bring what you need. If anyone has any questions or if there is anything at all I can do please don't hesitate to ask. It is going to be awesome having everyone together in one spot. I can't wait.

Oh yeah count me in on Swag to WV GTG!
 
Nice to see all the folks who are coming. I have lined up a babysitter, just asked for the time off but no one else in my department is booked, so it should be approved. I was down to my folks house cause my grandmother passed away on wed last week, tried to talk one of my cousins into riding with me but he used all his vacation up already getting married and having a honeymoon. I am still flying solo but oh well. I will put some tunes on the MP# and rip the roads as fast as I can. I am selling some old stuff out of the basement to stash away the gas $$. Can't wait. I am so stoked. I just hope the old wing has the 2400+ miles in her to make the round trip. I got the oil already to change out just before the ride and I am going to go over her with a fine tooth comb to make sure she is top notch as best i can. I half though of trying to ride the 450 but the tank range is just too small, I would have to stop 15 times to make it. The wing will be 6-7 gas stops. Whoohoo, I am crazy. I will be sleeping hopefully in a campground in Hartford CT area halfway down, just bringing a bag, might have a tent, not sure.

So sorry to hear about you grandmother.

Say bud I have a one person tent that is very very small. It just covers your sleeping bag and has a little extra room for your face. It would take up very little room. Pm me your address and I'll send it out to ya.


You are right Joe you need to get your but down here. Going to be a wicked good time and wouldn't be the same without you! Hope you can make it happen!

No worries about the bike Charles. There are going to be a good number without bikes. Will be well worth the trip man i promise!
 
Thanks Troy, Theresa was a cool old Irish cat, lived to 85 and survived cancer 3 times. But the Diabetes got her in the end. We celebrated her life and all her decendants. The proper Irish way, lots of tears, laughs, and booze. Thanks for the offer of the bivy, I have a small tent, I just have to check out the condition, it has been in storage for a few years as we use the big family tent now. If it won't work I might take you up on the offer, but I also got on hotwire and I can get a hotel room for 48 dollars and if I sell enough old bike parts I might just be able to do that, a bed after 650 miles would be preferable to a Thermorest on the ground ;D. But I'll sleep in the walmart parking lot under the bike if I have too ;D

I have booked the 20-26 to get there and back. Might get to leave the 19th at 3:30 if i use some bank time and then I can get to maybe portland by 9:30-10 PM. might make the trip easier. Have to plan though so I can get a campsite/room whatever I can afford.

I got friday off, so I'm really happy I won't have to rush coming down, and meeting up with my W.PA buddies..

Swagger, have you looked into flights at all? I wonder what they are running? Hmmmm

We'll have to go to a large parking area one of the nights, and take some group photos and such!

I'm also thinking of putting the Nikon around my neck and hopefully getting some rolling shots of EVERYONE riding! How cool would that be? I've never done it, so I'll have to take a few trial runs around my town with the camera on my neck, but it shouldnt be a problem..I just want to be 100% safe doing so

Doug, Rich and Mike..we gotta find somewhere to take some practice rolling shots before Troys! ;D
