WV DTT Gathering July 21-25 @ Troybilts Who's Going?

Counting the days...CAN'T WAIT!
I apologize I've not posted this before.
2.5 miles: Walmart
Subway
Within 5 -6 miles: Foodland grocery store
Pizza Hut
PC's Pizza
Foxe's Pizza Den
Lil Caesars Pizza/Convenience store
Mc Donalds
Hardees
All-Star Express (convenience store/Hero Hut Subs)
Subway
Monroe's (Italian)
New China (Chinese Buffet)
Dairy Queen (fast food burgers/ice cream)
Last but not least, Troy's BBQ grill (what ever we decide to toss on it)

I think that's it for my small town. Alot more 25 miles to Morgantown.
Thanks Shaun for reminding me.

WTF? Troy has a walmart within 3 miles and I have to drive 30 minutes to get to one? :D

Surely there's going to be a ton of people going down. Who else is going / wants to go if possible?

Hell yes we have a walmart. Not much else but we do have a walmart ;D

Hey guys and gals I'm looking at things to do, places to see. I think we need to start tossing some ideas around. Of course there is mtn fest. We need to take a close look at the schedule and decide which folks would like to attend what. Not to worry for those not riding there will be plenty of cages going anyplace the bikes go. Anyhow, another thing to consider is a local venue of live music. Back when I worked for a news paper, a photographer friend of mine boke away and opened up a cool music joint about an hours ride away. That was a long time ago but he is still at it. I know some of the music might not be everyone's cup of tea but the ride there is beautiful. A couple of cold brews, live music with no local morons to deal with...what do you all think? If there is enough interest we can add this to our list. Of course we can try to have different options for those not interested. I do have a couple of rides maped out and my neighbor Jim has offered to do us a top notch cookout at this place. I've already taken him up on that. Smoked turkey and smoked Ham are on the menu. Anyhow, here is a link to the Purple Fiddle: http://www.purplefiddle.com/index.html and music schedule http://www.purplefiddle.com/schedule.html Any thoughts??

Here is one of the artist performing at the fiddle this week. If you get the chance check out her Bio. I got a kick out of it http://stephanienilles.com/

I just noticed Hardees on the food list..oh dear lord lol, we havent had hardees in about 10 years :)

As for mtn fest, my lady has already expressed her dismay for "those" kind of events, so she has already decided to stay back at the farm if we do roll to the mtnfest.

As cool as it would be to roll there, i think a majority of us would be just as happy at a hole in the wall bar, or hangin around a bonfire on the farm.

That said, Im up for anything Mtnfest or Not..hanging out at the farm and meeting everyone and going on "our" ride is the main attraction for me, so everything else is just a bonus.

As bad as I want to go and have been looking forward to this, my build progress is slow and I beginning to doubt my bike will be done. I am losing hope each day.

Anyway, I am still trying but don't know for sure if I will make it or not. Crossing my fingers!

Troy,

I know I've seen it posted somewhere, but I just can't seem to find it. Where exactly is your place?

Thanks, CC

That's about a 7 hour ride from my place...
Hmm...

I will be coming up with the 360 in the back of a pickup. Do you have a ramp there, so I can get it off the truck?

Haha 15 drunk guys no doubt!

We will be bringing a ramp as I am sure many others will be. More than welcome to borrow it.

well I checked my tent out, should be ok. Found a Campground just off the highway near Hartford CT that is the halfway point to stop. Should be able to hit the road from the inlaws on The 20th and it is 500 miles to the campground, day 1, then 510 approx to kingwood so I should roll in to the farm about supper time on the 21rst. Got to do some checks on the bike this weekend and change the oil but I have been riding as much as I can to get seat time and it has been working fine. Wish I could meet up with someone to ride with but everybody is coming in a different way. Oh well that won't stop me. looks like I will have the $$ to do the trip so can't friggin wait.
