I know all about that. I used to have english mastiffs.
One of the most intimidating dogs you'll ever look at. And WAY more likely to lick you than bite you even if you're beating the shit out of them. Its funny if you read online about them it says "makes a great guard dog, however more likely to lay on an intruder than bite"

I have to rebuild some calipers or hang my new ones on adapters, then maybe my newly licensed wife can go for her first "long" ride.

Are you thinking about doing the second gen starter swap if you keep it?

Ayup. Going to start watching for a motor on Craigslist so I can swap the engine sidecover.

Fantastic. Sure beats tuning two carbs

I need to go grab a new cable to run from the solenoid to the starter - and probably clean up the contact points between the starter and the engine - fairly sluggish on the battery but better with a jumper from the frame right to the starter.
