Cool, I didn't know about these before. You could potentially use what are called nurserts. The go in like rivets. You do need a special tool to install them.

Nice, had one on my cb390 and would like to find one for the 550 !Micron alloy billet forkbrace..supposedly for a Honda CB900 and it fits the Honda NSR125 35mm forks perfectly.
Scoured fleabay for months, most are in the upper/close to £100....far too much for my budget, but scored this one for £57 which was acceptable given it's position on the bike and Micron name to match the expansion chamber exhaust.Nice, had one on my cb390 and would like to find one for the 550 !
Tarozzi makes a 550 fork brace. As far as finding one to fit a bike they don't make them for, you can research measurements and possibly find a match. I managed to find a Tarozzi fork brace to fit a 1986 CR500 front end, even thought they don't actually make one specifically for the CR500.Nice, had one on my cb390 and would like to find one for the 550 !
Thanks, they do list one.Fast From The Past has a lot of Tarozzi fork braces, maybe they have what you could use.
Looks like fun!So this is coming home. Getting delivered from Pennsylvania to Wisconsin - here by the weekend. I got it for a really good deal.
I know, i can't wait.Looks like fun!
Great color. My Father in Law had one that had been repainted to look like one of the first 500s. I liked riding it better than the 500/750 versions. So this is coming home. Getting delivered from Pennsylvania to Wisconsin - here by the weekend. I got it for a really good deal.
Damn, look at that colour. Is that stock? Gorgeous.
#2 colour match, for sureNo it is not stock. Not exactly sure what color it is- the original owner died and his estate is dealing with it. Unfortunately for me, knowing the color is actually somewhat important because it is missing a left side cover.
Here are my options: #1: paint both side covers black like the late model KH400 bikes had. #2: try and find someone to color match it. #3: paint them to match the green tank stripe (which is stock 1975 color).
I think the main color repaint is from a later 70's Kawasaki KZ
