Post a pic of your latest purchase

First I bought this for pretty cheap. Found out it has no numbers (VIN tag missing and no number stamped on frame)

A few days later I found this one grabbed it. Got less than $500 between the two and will end up parting out the orange one and keeping a few things on a shelf for spares.

The first one was probably a new replacement frame or built entirely from a new frame. Honda didn't stamp numbers in new frames. It was a dealer responsibility that most Honda dealers apparently ignored. You got a great deal on both of them.

Nice score. When I was I kid my dad use to take me to hill climes. There were always the big power & big noise guys who tried to speed their way up the hill, but I was always amazed at the number of guys who "chug, chug, chuged" their way, clear to the top, on Trail 90s and 125s Tough little bikes.

That makes sense. Someone probably snagged the VIN to use for a better bike. I was very confused when I couldn't find a stamped number on the frame.

I'm pretty pumped about both, I'll take the original rack and the rear seat from the orange one, probably keep the engine on a shelf and part out the rest. The red one should be running tomorrow.

I received a 270* rephase pin for a XS650. I think it'll be used for the one in my shed. I also happen to have a 750 kit sitting on the shelf.

My cafe racer project is in bits again and I have been suffering riding withdrawals so I went looking for a cheap bike I could ride without working on it.
If I got a work that needed work I may as well be working on my project.

This is what I got, a Kymco Venox 250 done only 2000km,basically a up dated Honda Magna build in the same factory with Kymco body work 41mm forks.
This one is 2013 model still fitted with 2012 tyres and factory wax on the chain. It's had it's 1000km service and looks like hoses have been changed because it has nonstandard clamps.

So for now I'm giving it a once over and it will be my ride.
