Throw the motor on the ingersol rand and chuck the tank from the other one.Joining Matt in the "real compressor club". It's definitely not the worst $30 I've ever spent. 6.5 h.p. 220v single phase. Hole in the bottom, p.o. tried to fix with j.b. weld. I was given another larger compressor and tank (less a motor) a couple years back, and I haven't decided If I'll swap everything to the bigger tank or if I'll just weld up the hole and repair it the right way.

Love swag's stuff.I picked up one of the swag offroad stands for a portaband. They don't do many sales so I put off getting one till their cyber Monday sale. It's not a full size band saw, but it sure beats cutting tube with an angle grinder.View attachment 229710
They do make good stuff at fair prices. The DRO for benders, the air over hydro conversion, and things expanded from there. There's more I'd like from them, but cost and the very occasional need I have has stopped me.Love swag's stuff.
I remember when he started out on the jeep forums and no one though it would go anywhere and here he is 10, 15? years later still cranking out cool shit.
That little thing should do 95% of the jobs you'd need a bandsaw for, how often does anyone cut bigger than 4x4 stock anyway?
People are stupidJust got delivered a GS850 piston set off EBay for two 378 builds I have on the docket. Seller shipped them in bubble mailers, so the skirt broke on one and the crown got nicked on the other. Confused why these weren’t shipped in a box.

Well that sucks! I agree some people are stupid. I was sent a Harley transmission still full of oil and a gas tank nearly full of gas.Just got delivered a GS850 piston set off EBay for two 378 builds I have on the docket. There is so much that can be done with those bikes.Frame and a couple of boxes of SR500 partsView attachment 229860View attachment 229861
I estimate there is about 90% of the engine. It was taken apart, but I have no history of why so checking everything. Some of the washers and other smaller parts might also be in the boxes but can be hard to see what is what.
Forks, tank and seat missing, but I found some ok looking forks on eBay and a guy offered me a tank for $20.

Wow! That's a couple levels below stupid! One would that somene smart enough to take apart a motorcycle engine and part it out they'd be smart enough to properly pack something to ship it. Hope you zing them hard, Eric. Mrs and I sold all kinds of things on eBay for years and to us proper packing was just a given. Proper boxes and packing materials and good quality tape; it's just the cost of doing business!
Absolutely! As a former long time eBay seller I would always recommend trying to work things out w/ the seller before just throwing up bad feedback and reporting them to eBay. In all the years I sold stuff that only happened to me, fortunately, once and it wasn't even justified, they just didn't like what they bought. No reason to zing someone when they make it right without incident. He's mailing another complete set of pistons, so I should end up with six good pistons when all is said and done. Things happen. I was pretty annoyed when I got them, and I certainly was baffled why they wy just didn't like what they boughtere sent the way they were, but the seller has been great in making it right.

There, got the truing stand today. Next are the pilots. I'll likely have to make those.
Good thing I have a lathe
And then, no one makes stones with a M10 x 1.0 internal thread anymore.
Best I can do is 9/16-16 TPI (Black & Decker)
