Engine looks great! So does the build so far.
Can I ask how you masked your polished bits? I'm trying to do something similar and I keep coming up with complicated ways to get the mask right, but wondering if it's just as simple as being careful with your tape lines.
Thanks
That's the Nexx XG100. It's a great helmet. Nice and light, pretty quiet, good fit. I bought mine from revzilla. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/nexx-xg100-devon-helmet
This is the official page for the helmet and they have all the accessories and part numbers listed...
Re: 1972 CL350 -- Introduction and First Time Build
Clearly I have not put enough work into this thing. I've seen some guys start and finish in the time I've been working on weekend this. Anyway, I got it to work in it this weekend and made a touch of progress. I decided to try to use one of...
Re: 1972 CL350 -- Introduction and First Time Build
Been a while. Between finishing school, working, and traveling I haven't had much time to do any wrenching. I got out to the shop this past weekend and did a bit of work on the bike. I got the rest of my engine covers off and polished up. I...
Thanks, yeah I've already detabbed the top of the bike and was planning on shortening the frame. One the seat gets in I'll detail where I make my cuts.

If you have, what problems did you run into and where did your source your LEDs?
Thanks!
Yeah, I'm always cautious about parts like these. I have $80 to burn though and if it works out then it works out, all the better for me :) If I have to do some modifications, I'm alright with that. I'm much more comfortable with fab work than upholstery!
Has anybody used the brat seats from Ebay (china)? I was going to make a seat, but I like the look of these and they seem like a mostly plug and play solution. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!
Y'all should try OnShape. It's free and totally browser based, meaning you can use it on any system anywhere. It was designed by the group of engineers who initially started Solidworks.
Re: 1972 CL350 -- Update #3
I went out to the country this weekend to do some work. It's been a crazy couple weeks with school and I haven't been able to do much, but I think I'm making some slow progress and working through it nice and deliberately. This weekend I was kind of all over the...
