Re: 82' KZ440 Brat'Cafe'?: Seat upholstered- ready for spring! HAHAHAHA!!! I love it because I know the pain and hate it just as much. It's looking super clean though. That's gonna be well worth it when it's done.

Re: 82' KZ440 Brat'Cafe'?: Seat upholstered- ready for spring! You can also drill a hole in a 2x piece of wood. One on the top about halfway down and one from the side to slide the cable through. You get the idea.

Re: 82' KZ440 Brat'Cafe'?: Seat upholstered- ready for spring! I actually didn't modify the stock mounting system at all. I wanted to keep the frame and tank original so I had a buddy come over to weld up a bracket for me. We actually bent an old horn mounting plate and it works great. I think...

Re: 82' KZ440 Brat'Cafe'?: Seat upholstered- ready for spring! I found an older, dark pic but you get the idea. It is probably about 2 inches longer than the KZ tank.

Re: 82' KZ440 Brat'Cafe'?: Seat upholstered- ready for spring! I put a CB 550 tank on my 440. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow. It is a bit longer and wider plus more fuel.

Re: 82' KZ440 Brat'Cafe'?: Wiring, seat, final assembly, cables When my buddy and I wired mine it was so cold and we rushed it so some wires are on top of the frame some are under. It drives me nuts every time I look at it. I guess patience is really learned when wiring.

Also, for anyone who is interested... I have been building a GS450 for my bro-in-law over the last few months. It pisses me off cause I like his bike better than mine. Haha. Here is a pic, more to come.

    1st build - "Dirty-Thirty" KZ440 LTD

Well, It's been a long winter but yesterday I finally got to ride the piece for the first time. Let's just say it was a happy and sad moment. Motor runs really well and feels strong but the jetting is horrible. It idles and revs really well but once you get on it at about half throttle it falls...

    Upholsterer in NOVA/DC/MD

Hey all, Looking for a good place to get my custom fiberglass seat upholstered. I live in Leesburg, VA and the only place here is priced really high and doesn't have much experience with motorcycle seats (or non-OEM seats). Haven't found another place that has a good reputation, good prices...

    Quick Question: H4 headlight bad?

I have a multi meter and I was going to do it today but I was working on something else. I will give it a test before I buy anything for sure.

    Quick Question: H4 headlight bad?

I will look into upgrading the reg. Anything special I need to look for or just a new modern unit will do? Thanks again for all the help and for hopefully saving my battery.
