I guess it doesn't bother me too much after looking at it for awhile. I do plan on getting a tank, maybe a 650 or 750 tank. I think a wider tank would look better IMO.

How is the mounting? I would like to stick minimal change in mounting as I think it would be fun to have different vintage Kawasaki tanks in original condition to swap.

I actually didn't modify the stock mounting system at all. I wanted to keep the frame and tank original so I had a buddy come over to weld up a bracket for me. We actually bent an old horn mounting plate and it works great. I think you would have to make a new bracket for each tank as the size and mounting points would be different for most of them.

Thanks, glad my little build can influence other 440 LTD owners to make something cool looking out of a less desired motorcycle.
Exhaust is the stock pipes cleaned up, polished and lightly brushed with a cone engineering 2-1 collector centered under the bike. I'll throw a 12" stainless reverse cone muffler on sometime.
Jetting I used. For me, it runs out nice.
