Turns out that the speedo wasn't the prob. It did need a certain resistance from the ignition switch. New computer and hook up the ignition switch and he was able to ride the bike home Saturday
Check your dentist office next time you are in for a cleaning and see if they have an old one in the back that they want to get rid off cheap. How I got mine for free. ;)
Mine live in the basement right now. I am building a 16'x8' shed in the back yard for them. Little hard to get anything done with 4 bike in my shop space in the basement.
Try telling the guy who just wrote a $292k check for his new SLS AMG Black series that the rattling noise he hears from the motor is "normal" according to Mercedes. THat was a fun day.
Oh, this was less than 200 miles on the car.

Seriously, if they are the scrambler pipes they could fund your build if they are in good shape. Last set of hooker cl450 scramblers pipes I saw on ebay sold for $700.
