so more work been done had some cool looking switches made up for the top yoke. finished rebuilding the middle drive head came back from having a skim new cbr1000rr radial master cylinder arrived. started painting parts for the engine, paint is us automotive vht wrinkle. rebuilt...

sorry boys been busy with life type stuff. ejether i took everthing that i could out the engine before shipping it off for blasting, it was the best thing i did as its super clean , there is alot of cleaning to do after though, took ages. so things have been quiet from this lately so thought...

ive got a tank i can fit a rack of carbs in , have done a few peoples on here now ;)

got the engine back from blasting today, here are some pics. nice and clean for the rebuild now.........

well figured i would take a look at the main and conrod bearings while the crank is out, not good news..... main bearings are not too bad some scratches and light pit marks but conrod bearings are knackered. so once i get the engine back from the blasters 2morrow i can get the engine numbers...

only thing i did today was rebuild my starter clutch. drilled out the back of the bolts that had been centre punched to stop them coming out and replaced all internal rollers springs and pushrods with my new kit, then put it all back together with 12.9 bolts loctite and centre punched the back...

well you know where my vote goes, we all have to start somewhere .

see i dont agree alpha, iv rebuilt my xs850 engine (just because i can). that way when i hit the starter button i know (not hope) things will be ok. good job i did too because i found a few issues that needed sorting. depends how far you want to go with a bike but i rebuild everything i can and...
